Whats Valentine’s day without chocolates and candy?

Valentine’s day is just no fun without sugar!

Before the big ”love” day I thought i’d share an excellent Canadian based site boasting chocolates from all over the world including organic, sugar free, and fair trade   Chocodirect.com  There is an wonderful clearance section. For bargain hunters like myself combining premium chocolates and bargain shopping, I’m not sure if it could get any better!

The clearance section quite often has short date chocolates, teas, cookies, and  candies 10–80% off original retails.

I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but don’t be shocked if they include a free chocolate or two with your order!

Shipping is quite reasonable at $4.99 and free over $100.  It’s usually sent out very quickly after paying.

I love dealing with Choco Direct. Very friendly sales people. I love the fact they always throw in a couple of extras with each order.

Lol! You caught that too eh? I had a giggle about that one, I do believe the company is primarily francais so there is some misspells, but it is great site. I think I even ordered the previously mentioned ”A” truffles.

i placed an order with them once after reading it at Sc only but i opted for “call me for my payment” option , they never called but send and e-mail saying for me to contact them .When i called they couldnt understand what i was saying and vice versa.so, I ended up cancelling the order.Pls.advice how should I order and are these chocolates good?

    French english barrier SJ?

I pay via paypal, they send a confirmation, then during business hours they send a paypal invoice.

I guess next time you order, place your order then email info@chocodiret.com and say you need an english speaking rep to call you to complete order and leave your order number and phone number.

Thats all I can think of since I pay via paypal.

Their products are excellent in you love worldwide chocolates, the swiss of course is exceptionally good :)

Yay my orders in! So is Koalas! Paid Monday and delivered today and Omg they really outdid themselves.

Have to go eat candy now.

I got the liquor chocolates. Less than half price on clearance and the jellied fruits. They are very good, and product is fresh.
For sure Sally they outdid themselves with the freebies they threw in. I also received a box of cookies, free trade chocolate, nuts and chocolate, some mini bars, and chocolate covered caramels.
    I love their dark chocolate.
I confirmed my order Monday and received it today (Wed).

Confirmed and paid on Wednesday and rec’d package today. Gifts of a box of cookies and three bars of chocolate. I had been looking for these amazing Suchard chocolates that are absolutely incredible. I thought I couldn’t get them here but Chocodirect has them so I’ll be a regular. Thanks for this great find and thanks to everyone who posted comments. I’m usually reticient to try an online store I’ve never heard of but your comments were so positive.

  15. Annabee

My only negative comment — and it’s a little one — is that the gifted chocolate is expired. Not long expired — from December and November. But I like that they don’t throw it out — that would be wasteful. I’m sure the chocolate still tastes great — I’m off to try it.

  16. Sally

Really Annabee? None of my free chocolates were expired, but they are good for 6 months past the date, that I do know :)

  17. Annabee

It’s true — All of my gifts were expired so I had to eat them right away. They all tasted great. I noticed they sell some expired items on the clearance section — some are just soon to be expired but some dates are actually past — but just. I’ve started another order so I totally endorse this website and their products. I just thought I’d mention the expiry dates in case anyone was counting on saving the gifted chocolate for a future event like Valentines.

Just for the record the woman at Choco.direct is named “France” Her email was signed France and I asked if that was her name and she said yes. She is very nice and bilingual.

Great company, great products, great service.

Just received my second order — prompt service and great product. The Belgium chocolates by Dolphin are amazing. I spent about $50 (about $40 in clearance and $10 on regular priced items). I received gifts of five 100g chocolate bars and one 45 gram chocolate bar — again all expired. Not by much — no expiry dates older than October 2008 and the most recent expired was January 2009. As gifts from Chocodirect, I think that’s fine. If you’re thinking of regifting, I don’t think so.

There could be writer exciting for children than the joy of aggregation “Eidee,” the slim currency that elders pay to juniors on Eid.
