Free Pyrex potholder- first 120’000 (US and Canada)

Canadian Freebies, Free Stuff

pyrex
Pyrex wants to teach us the 4 rules of taking care of your glass bake ware and for being such great students they are going to give away free I heart Pyrex potholders to the first 120’000 people to submit the form! This freebie is valid in Canada and the US so these will probably go fast. This offer runs until April 30th 2011 or until all 120’000 potholders have been claimed, whichever happens first.

Click HERE to go get your free potholder!

*Unfortunately they messed up and while the form appears to be Canadian friendly they didn’t implement it right.  I have contacted Pyrex to fix the problem but I also tried putting all my information in the address box instead and used a fake zip and state.  In the terms it clearly states it’s open to Canadian residents, just their tech dept. messed up. When this gets fixed I will update this post to let you all know*

  2. canadiangirl5279 says:

  3. caroman says:

I had the same problem too

  4. sally says:

  5. vickyann22 says:

i tried to order for canadian address and my province is not on there 🙁

  6. Dana says:

Sorry everybody, I looked at the form and terms and conditions and saw that it was valid in Canada and then I posted this first and then went to sign up and had the same problem as everybody else, I have e-mailed Pyrex to let them know that their form is not set up properly!

  7. Darren says:

The website won’t take a Candian address. Suggestions?

  8. SkinnyTony says:

It says “State/Province/Territory” but it only lists states…

  9. mamatotwo says:

    Me too.

  10. tests says:

There are no provinces there…lol…and no choice of country either!

  11. cUintimbuck2 says:

I had the same problem too. I just entered a random zip code and state. Then put my province, country and postal code in the second address box.

  12. sally says:

Thats ok Dana, I would of thought the same thing, its their error, the form even says zip/postal then state or province! Its just an error theyll have to fix. Dana will update the post when they fix the glitch.

I’m exctied for this one great find!

  13. msopinionated says:

It is for the US only. there are no provinces listed in the pull down menu.

  14. Sandra says:

FOR SURE IT IS FOR THE U.S. ONLY. What a RIP OFF.

  15. SkinnyTony says:

I have a feeling all 120,000 will be gone beofre they get around to fixing the problem….

I just put my postal code and province in the City box:P and put a random zip code in…:)

  18. sally says:

    Ssndra, read the toc.

  19. donny68 says:

Is it possible to perhaps remove this post, since every single person who tries to get it will be equally frustrated before checking the responses and realizing it doesn’t work?

  20. Faeore says:

Most likely the problem is they forgot to implement the form element to pick which country, which would likely then change to drop down to provinces instead of states. Sadly it’s a common “oops” for a lot of US forms online which say “open to Canada”.

I tried filling out the form placing my city, province, and country all on the city line, selecting the first state on the list, and putting in my postal code in the zip/postal spot, it seemed to have accepted it so hopefully they’re smart enough to realize “Halifax, NS, Canada” is not part of Alabama.

  21. DRL says:

I did the same, entered town, province and postal in the city slot and it worked. I made sure to put a fake Zip code, 12345.

  22. Bob says:

Why hasn’t smartcanucks changed the post to reflect that we can’t get this deal??

  23. Newbie says:

I tried putting in my province and posstal code in second Address box, when submitting it says “We’re sorry, an error has occurred.
The page you are looking for is either not available or can no longer be found”

  24. kklllljjj says:

But what state did you use???

  25. Larry G says:

i typed my whole address including BC CANADA & postal code in the address line typed in 11111 for zip and put in state of washington hopefully they will figure it out nothing to lose 🙂

  26. Natalka says:

I used California, zip 90210, other info on second address line,
    and it went through!

  27. couponclipper says:

Thanks for the heads up dana! this is a great freebie! hopefully customer service will be able to fix the glitch soon , but thank you for posting this! You were just trying to help and i appreciate that!

  28. freebielovingmama says:

Gave it a try doing what you guys did. Hope it comes!!

  29. canadiangirl5279 says:

I gave it a try using the 2nd address line for the province, country and postal code. Hopefully it comes!

  30. Bonnie says:

it will say an error has occurred if any punctuation marks are added in the city box. just state your town/city, then province then post code, no commas etc- GL!

  31. FatB says:

What I did was include city & province in the address field.
put postal code in address 2 field.
put CANADA in the city field.
used California in state (so it’ll hopefully just show as CA)
and 00000 in the zip code so they won’t be mailed in the US.
So hopefully if lines are separated by fields it’ll look like this:

    Address City Province
    Postal Code
    CANADA
    CA
    00000

    Accepted.

  32. dphil says:

Thanks FatB! I did the same thing and it works, hope it comes!

  51. Interesting, no provinces. I am not sure if they will update it. Looking forward to the free pot holder.

  52. Ben says:

Looks like it’s all gone now.

  53. Angie says:

Now it says they have given them all away. I had to laugh when it said the promo was going til the end of April or until they ran out….guess they didn’t anticipate running out on the first day!

  54. Munira says:

this happens alot…have you ever tried the free kleenex site?

  55. Munira says:

Anyway…so what happens now that they are all out!!! WHAT WILL WE DO!? It’s not fair… 🙁
