Normally, AirBnB will credit your account $29 if use the refer-a-friend offer; however, now the the company seems to be targeting Mainland China and offering a bigger incentive to try the service out. If you sign up through www.zh.airbnb.com, you will be able to get $40 USD or approximately $58 CAD credit for your first stay.
This is the page you will see and take note, do not change the language or else you will only receive the regular $29 credit. After you sign up, you can go back to the English version and you will keep the $58 credit in your account.
You can refer yourself, this is how:
Login to your first account and copy your own referral link.
https://www.airbnb.ca/invite
Create a second account from your own referral link, AFTER you switch to zh.airbnb.com. Replace part in url below with your username.
https://zh.airbnb.com/c/<REPLACE WITH YOUR USERNAME>
Let us know if this works for you and if you get the $58 credit! Did it work for you?
I tried to do this, but the instructions are confusing. Can you add more details to your post?
I’m as confused as Gigi above. Can you please provide more details?
Thank you!
I tried it. But then I read the detail that you only get the credit when they travel. So you will need to travel on the second account, before you will see the credit on the first (to know if it even worked!) This is a bit complicated…
