Hmmn, its working now I think 🙂 thanks!
Prices aren’t all that hot. I bought Slumdog Millionaire Blu-Ray for $5 during the HMV trade and save event.
Thats great Matt, but this isn’t a trade and save event.
Mmmm. I am in the states on vacation and just picked up Fringe season 1 at Bestbuy for $9.99 on sale. I have also seen it regularly on for $19.99 on Amazon.com, they charge for shipping to Canada but at the most you’d pay $25. Prices on box sets dropped in October or November in Ontario with Chapters of all places having big boxes full of DVDs for $19.99. I got all 4 seasons of Bones there plus the 25% coupons. These days you’re better off putting the sets you want on your wishlists and watching for the prices to go down. I have bought tons of stuff this season, especially if you hit Amazon.com during american holiday sales like Black Friday and boxing day, I got True Blood for instance for $16.99 on their after Christmas sale. Never goes lower than $39 in Canada. Just sayin’…
Amazon bounces back and forth it seems, sometimes its way cheaper on .ca and other times .com is cheaper. For example Veronica Mars in season 1 2 and 3 is 19.99 on .ca and 28-45 a season on the .com. It makes no sence at all!!!!
Yeah I don’t know how they come up with their sales but it is part of my routine to check my wish lists almost daily and I have been able to snap up some good deals, like the x-files complete series box set for $99. The past few months I have seen a lot more go on sale on .com, but then again I knew I was coming down here and could order stuff with the free shipping so I have been checking it a lot more than I usually do. It is a good idea to check it out on holidays though, I got all of the CSI’s (except for 7-9 of course, they are too new still) for $19 Canadian and that was with the shipping and customs duty added in. I honestly think the online sales must just be dependant on stock, and when they run out like with the x-files then you have to wait 3 months (like I did) for it. But for those prices I can wait.
Thanks for the insight Penny, I really appreciate it!
