I was browsing Amazon.Ca again today and came upon another great Paderno deal. Here is the blurb from the website:

This range of high quality 18/10 stainless steel cookware features a heat-conductive bottom pad for superior cooking performance, durable welded handles and a flared, no-drip lip. Paderno’s precise heat control, durability, ease of use and elegant design make it ideal for both home and restaurant use. Cookware so tough, it has found a place aboard Air Force One and in the residence of Canada’s Prime Minister. Our Paderno brand Pots for Eternity is backed by an exceptional 25 year warranty.

This item is originally listed at $109, so that’s a savings of $72 or 66%! You’ll also get Free Super Saver Shipping since it exceeds $25. A few weeks ago I ordered the 11-inch square nonstick grill pan and absolutely loved it!

Be really careful with the Paderno pots, the special bottom layer will melt if you accidentally boil the pot dry. I burned my kitchen floor and my kitchen counters and almost set my house on fire with the “molten lava” that dripped off the bottom! My own fault-yes, but I’d prefer to have pots that don’t “melt”!

We’ve had this saucepan for several years & use it for absolutely EVERYTHING! It is the PERFECT size! I don’t know what “special bottom layer” browneyedgirl is referrring too — we have several different Paderno pieces — but letting a pot boil dry can no doubt cause many different problems – and burns/fires regardless of WHAT cookware you use!

According to amazon.ca this pot is not available.

it most definitely melts! we had ours for 18 years and our daughter went to steam veggies – with no water to make steam. the bottom of the pot `melted`off, burned the floor, the counters, the wood trim. thank goodness it didn`t burn her!

I just had the exact same thing happen to my pot. I was so surprised that the bottom came off the pot! Buyer beware!
