Apple Canada: Refurbished iPod Shuffle $35 & Free Shipping!

iPod Shuffle Canada
Bump 2! Silver now in stock!

Bump! Back in stock

I don’t post many tech deals on the main blog because we have an awesome Tech Deals Blog being run by the wonderful team of Jerry, Sherry, Jim and David. However this deal is irresistible and I had to blog about it on here because it probably won’t last for long!

Refurbished 1GB Apple iPod shuffles are on sale for $35 at the Apple Store online. Shipping is free! The colours available are silver, blue and green. 2GB Apple iPod shuffles are on sale for $45. Note that these iPod shuffles are the older generation ones with duller colours. No biggie in my opinion. For $35 that’s a hot deal!

No screen either… I personally think anything is better than a shuffle, having no way to jump to the songs you want to listen to is a bigger pain than you might think! Nothing wrong with other brands for such a small and basic player.

  2. Tammy says:

So can you not skip past a song and just go to the next one? I’m just curious because I was thinking of buying one.

  3. kib says:

Yes, you can skip. You can set the player to shuffle or to play straight through (in alphanumeric order). Because a 1GB player doesn’t hold that many songs, skipping ahead/back to find the song you want isn’t a big problem.

  4. Uechi Boy says:

I 1G should hold about 250 songs so thats a bit, you can skip to the next song however you cannot see the playlist and select the song you want right away and have to go thru the tedious process of shuffling through the list 🙂

  5. kingy says:

if you want to skip a song, take it off your ipod and just have songs that you want to listen to.

  6. G says:

My 7 year old daughter has the original ipod shuffle… I have never heard her complain about not being able to find a song, or have issues skipping those songs she doesn’t want to listen to “right then”. (Again.. why put music on that you WOULDN’T want to ever listen to?) We bought IT for her when it first came out, and she would have been quite young.. like, 2005? We picked it FOR the lack of a screen, because she couldn’t read back then:) I often have MY ipod set to “shuffle” anyways….so, the ipod shuffle simply makes sense. (Btw, we own 6 ipods, and are a family of 3:)

  7. willowsprite says:

Wow, kids these days have everything. What would a three year old be listening to on an ipod??

  8. Sally says:

It would be coolest 3 year old on the block yo.

    Listening to cuppycakes!!!!!

Willowsprite—Hey, what’s wrong with a kid owning an ipod? She also owns her own 24 inch imac. (Would love to hear your opinion on that:) I need to point out that my daughter doesn’t own a game system, (no DS, no Wii, xbox, etc) We don’t have cable, OR a dvd player, (she doesn’t watch tv). NOR does she watch dvds while traveling in the car.,, (which is ridiculously common). I don’t think it is anything weird, that my daughter owns a 2005 model ipod shuffle! (Btw, when she was young, and first received it, she had Sharon, lois and bram (remember them?) on her ipod:) Anyways… kids these days may have “everything”, but SHE doesn’t. (Besides, I owned a “walkman” when I was her age! What’s the difference?! (well, besides her having NO idea what a cassette is;)

  10. G says:

(Oooh, and right now, I am checking, and she has the entire Fraggles soundtrack on there:) It is currently playing “the doozer knitting song” (I think that is what it’s called….. with no display, I am Sooooooooooo hopelessly loooost.)

  11. Jana says:

Anyone know how much these cost brand new?

  12. willowsprite says:

Well, now I’m just jealous. I love the Fraggles!!

  13. G says:

(willowsprite… unsure if you could possibly love them more than my daughter– she knows the words to EVERY song, and can tell you the history of every character, and the story behind every story… she’s a fraggle fanatic! AND, she can actually sing along to the “Beetle song”… impressive;)

  14. Justine says:

This is $35 cad right? I just placed an order and it said “estimated amount”.

  15. Boo Radley says:

    Yep it’s $35 Canadian

  16. Justine says:

Thanks, ya it came to like $39 with tax cad.

  17. Pennywise says:

    They aren’t $35 anymore:( it’s $44 now.

  18. V says:

They must just had it at $35 for a day or so….

  19. Boo Radley says:

I personally LOVE the 1GB Shuffle..each one of us ( there are 6) have one of these. The kids love them, and my hubby and I take them on the boat, camping, walks, etc…Though they don’t have a screen, that’s one less thing to get ruined; and yes, you can skip to the next song if you want to…or the next, or the next…
I paid 49.99 NEW with an extended warranty last year through The Source (formerly Radio Shack). Nothing has ever gone wrong, and they are still going strong. We have some in bright colors and light colors.
I recommend that this is a great deal, especially if you have kids you need to entertain on long drives or camping and they can download their own songs on iTunes or Limewire.
PS: My daughter also has the 8GB iPOD Touch and she hates it.

  22. Glen says:

    Silver is $35 again.

  23. Dana says:

    how long for shipping?

and HA Boo Radley-am i the only one to notice? lol good book 🙂

  24. Very thoughtful and exciting post! I’ve been looking around for the best Limewire Alternative and found a great site for them and your site looked like your readers might value it so I’ve linked to it here!

    Check it out!

    – All the best
