Out of respect to the verterans and the fallen, retailers had an unwritten agreement that Christmas decorations were only put up starting November 12th. Walmart came to Canada and broke that trend. Others have now followed their example.

I think Applebees has a great idea, but I believe they should have the pick of any of the meals.

As the wife of a military member and the mother of 2 military member’s I say 🙂 and thank you !!

They should have had this on another day. And, what about those on “active duty” who are overseas right now? A better idea would have been to have the option to show proof of military service for a certain discount at any time.

  6. Ray says:

More retailers should do these for our military. Compare to other countries, our businesses seem to do much less. I think lots of people would support these type of campaigns and I hope businesses would find value in doing so. Thanks to our service men and women.

Too many provisions IMO Rememberance Day isn’t and shouldn’t be about making it a discount/sale day. Just like Rememberance day sales last year, disrespectful. Its shouldn’t be about making a buck.
