Aren’t TVs *always* on sale at Best Buy/Future Shop et al. now? Is this sale better than the others?
Yes this sale is better than others … I just purcahsed a t.v that was over $500 off it’s normal price (compared to best buy’s original price, futureshop, the source and sears – yes I do my research before a large purchase) and not only was it a money saving but they also offer 1 year no payments no interest with a best buy card or 2 years of equal payments and no interest – all and all this was better than any boxing day special I saw. And to top it all off they also have a promotion with Rogers to get a free HD cable box for a year – that’s another $20 or so savings a month! So we will be watching Lost and the superbowl on a nice 50″ HD TV SWEET! 🙂
Someone once told me that tvs are the cheapest right after the superbowl.
Can anyone point to any more info about the free year of HD from Rogers? I’m tempted. 🙂
I finally broke down and bought a 42″ plasma with hi def- paying for it $100/month\. After a couple of discounts on sears saturday 8-10 am once only clearance sale thing, it was $1000. It’s one of their “house” brands Prima that is made oveseas also and was listed for $1700 once.
it has been excellent, the picture is fantastic.
IMHO, you should be able to get a 42″ for $1000 on sale now soemwhere. good luck – the real cost is $100/month for the high def reciever- basic is abput $50 but all the other goodies, whihc are just great to watch, are about $50 more even with soem deals, so do get a tv on sale with a year of free hi def from rogers or sympatico, then use the saving to ad the extras. we got a built in recorder model that actually runs on two tv’s
