Beyond the Rack is a private shopping club for men and women who want designer brands at prices up to 70% off retail. They work with major brands to hold limited-time sales that are open exclusively to their members. Each sale starts at a specific time (usually noon) and typically lasts only 48 hours. After the sale ends the merchandise is no longer available. Members are notified by email in advance of each upcoming sale according to their preferences.

They have new sales items on a regular basis.  Current items on sale include ladies coats, clothing, hand bags, and men and women’s watches.   Brand names include Hugo Boss, Christian Dior, Diesel, and many more.  Shipping is around $12 to Canada.

    Wow thanks so much! I’ve heard of this website before but I didn’t have an invitation code so I just added myself to waiting list (but that was a few months ago).

    I put in an order back in on Dec.10/09 and still have not received it as of today (Jan.18/10). In fact, when I log into my account there isn’t even a tracking number assigned yet! Has anyone else experienced such a delay with Beyond the Rack? I received an email from them just before Christmas saying that it wouldn’t make it on time for the holidays (even though it was a gift). When I first inquired about the delay, they gave me a $10 credit to cover *most* of my shipping cost (it was $11.95).

    Probably against my better judgement, I put another order in on Jan.8/10 but I don’t really expect that to come just yet either (the FAQs say that in exceptional cases, deliveries can be up to 15 business days).

    I emailed them again last Wednesday but this time around, I haven’t received any reply back yet about where my first order is aside from the fact my item was supposed to arrive their warehouse on Jan.7/10.

    Wasn’t sure where else to go aside from putting my story out there and seeing if others have had similar experiences when shopping with Beyond the Rack.

    I am experiencing the same problem. I placed an order on Jan.15/10 and still have not received it as of today (Feb.02/10). When I log into my account there isn’t even a tracking number. I emailed them asking about the status of my order but I didn’t recieve a reply as yet.

    same thing here. I ordered January 31, 2010. They charged my credit card. There is still no tracking number on my account. No answer from two emails I have sent making inquiries.

    Now I”m a little stressed out. I placed an order on Feb. 4th and my order hasn’t been sent out yet as per my account page (Feb. 23rd). E-mailed them yesterday and haven’t gotten a response back yet, looks like I’ll be waiting for a while. Has anyone tried to stop payment on their credit cards?

    I haven’t checked back on this posting for awhile, but I did end up receiving my orders…but late!

    They do have the courier send a confirmation e-mail when they ship it/deliver it so don’t worry too much for now. If you’re really concerned, call Beyond the Rack directly for a status update. Their number isn’t listed in the “Contact Us” section but hidden in their FAQs in the Payment and Processing section. They will need your order number to look your file up.

    Do you know of any other sites like Beyond The Rack that are Canadian-based? Most sites I know of (Gilt Groupe, Hautelook, RueLaLa, etc) all consider shipping to Canada international shipping and charge ridiculous rates for it. I’d love a site where I could shop in Canadian dollars and not have to pay crazy high rates for shipping or returns.

    I’ve been buying clothes and bags from Beyond the Rack for quite some time. I’ve never had a problem. I have pretty much stopped shopping on any other site. I’ve also never gotten my packages late. Perhaps you should give it another go….

    Has anyone had to exchange any items from Beyond the Rack? I just sent them an e-mail but thought I’d throw it out there anyway. I read up on their policy and I’m not sure they actually exchange items (like, if the size turns out it doesn’t fit). It only refers to account credits for returns. I really like what I ordered, but it’s smaller than expected.

    As far as I know they don’t do exchange. Only credits for returned stuff.

    I have ordered twice now. Both orders took a long time to come. They shipped just shy of their 3 week deadline. Clothes were ALL too small (I ordered XL). I was able to sell one order to a co-worker to avoid returning but returned the other. I was actually pleasantly surprised that the return was credited back to my account quickly, BUT they subtract ALL shipping charges. So, it just cost me $20 to try something on. And it’s going to cost me another $10 to use up the credit. I feel my money shrinking as I type.

    NOT worth it in my mind. Once I have used the credit I will NOT be shopping there again.

    I think you have to keep in mind that with designer clothes, sizes are always smaller. My co-worker (size 6) was shocked that my XL top fit her perfectly. That’s just not right.

    i have ordered countless things and they all came except for my order placed in jan and one in feb. that is when they “changed” their computer system or whatever. i was told this by customer service when i phoned. i got everything refunded to my visa, plus i received a shipping credit on my visa as well for their blunders. that merchandise just disappeared. i’ve order at least ten other times and got it all…

    I have placed many orders this year.Their site states approx 3 weeks for delivery.They have to depend on the supplier to send them the merchandise
    first,but once they get it Ive only waited 2 or 3 days.I have never waited
    more than 3 weeks and have been thrilled with the quality and price of all of my items.

    I’ve also similar had issues with Beyond the rack. My credit card was charged and i didn’t have a tracking number for weeks. No one replied to my emails either. I finally just asked for a credit, because I was sick of waiting. I still haven’t taken the leap to order something else.

    I came across another website that’s very similar to BTR. It’s called Luxuryhut.com. It was free to become a member. I ordered a pair of CK sunglasses and received them within the week. I was super happy with the service and I think I’ll stick with them from now on.

    I’ve ordered from BTR twice and both times it was an awful experience. Their customer service is TERRIBLE, they will not do anything to help a customer when there’s an issue. My second order, they charged my Visa, but didn’t have a record of my order in their system, and were insistent that they did not charge my card, although I had verification and an authorization number from my bank. They refused to help me get my funds back, or offer to help me recieve the order I’d placed that had not shown up in their system. I’ve had to go through the process of disputing the charge with Visa now – even after I spoke with their “refunds manager”. When I brought up their numerous bad reviews online and suggested they try to fix it she said that every company has bad reviews out there and that they’re not concerned about it. Worst company EVER!

    I’ve ordered 3 or 4 times from BTR now. It usually takes about 3 weeks to a month to receive it because they ship it from the supplier to their warehouse then from their warehouse to you. Everything I ordered was what I expected. Size wise – I wouldn’t order something I haven’t tried on. You need a good idea of how the brand fits to avoid sending it back. My only issue was with my last order of Steve Madden Mukluks for $29 (reg $160) where shipped with 2 left boots. I sent an email and they told me to send them back for a full refund – the return labels were included in the original box so did not cost me a thing. This was just last week so I am waiting for a credit, but have placed another order in the meantime.

    I’ve had a similar experiance with beyond the rack!! So quick to charge the “credit card” and here I sit waiting for the product. I could only advise that if you like something, don’t expect it for a loooong time!! I’m comming up to almost a month with no boots!!! But paid for them. Can’t wait to see if it’s an issue when they get here, how they look! Loosing faith fast!!!!!!

    I have ordered stuff and received it in about 3 weeks. When you order something , they put in a return shipping label so returns are easy and uncomplicated.
    I have been happy with my purchases. My purchase came from Montreal, so I think this may be a Canadian company, but I have not looked into this so I may be wrong.

    I use beyond the rack all the time such great savings and customer service.

    I shop at Beyond the rack often and have never had trouble and returns are painless. They state very clearly that you will have several weeks wait for your order to arrive. After an event closes orders are sent to the vendor. The orders arrive at beyond the rack and are then packaged and sent out. Sometimes there are unforseen delays from the vendor but Beyond the rack always send email letting us know. I prefer this over shopping at a mall.

    Oh I love BTR! They have fabulous stuff. I order all the time and am ALWAYS happy with what I get! Yes, you will get your stuff in 3-4 weeks, but that IS mentioned on their site and they will always mail you before shipping out your stuff, so no reason for worry at all.

    I don’t understand why everyone is hatin’ on BTR because of the delay in getting their items, the process of how they get their items and how long it takes is clearly described on their website… They are very up-front about how in most cases it will take weeks to get your order. That being said, I love BTR! I have never had a problem and get some INCREDIBLE deals, well worth the wait. If you’re saving that much money who cares how long it takes to get it? If you don’t want to wait go to the mall.

    I bought three watches from this site. One of them looks so cheap and it cost me more than $100. The shipping took more than a month, when I finally receive it I was very upset. So I decide to return it and buy another model, thinking that I will have my money credited on my credit card. I made the return and they’ve respond quite quick saying they’ve receive my request bla bal bla, I thought it was a good deal… Well no, they dont wont give you your money back but rather “BTR credits”, so you have to spend your money on their website (AND DON’T BELIEVE ON ANY OF THEIR “BLOWOUT” SALES, EVERYTHING IS JUST AS CHEAP AS WALMART STUFF).

    So, bought another watch: a Jacques Lemans for $200 an after just one month it broke! Now I have $100 in BTR credits (wow!) and I have to send my broken watch to Hollywwod, USA, pay the shipping and wait who knows how much time to receive it back, if i receive it.

    Think it twice before buying here. Their prices are not better than any other website, and you will have to wait more than a month to receive you item, an hopefully you will like it.
