Actually, they’re based out of St. Catharines, Ontario. For some reason they use US dollars on their website though. Shipping is a breeze though, no border hassles. I’ve ordered several times and usually have my books in 2 days.
Clarence – Really! That is news to me. I wonder why the heck they charge in US currency then? Is it to appeal to an international market?
I like buying books here and they also have a great selection of coloring and sticker books for children cheap.
I think they’re definitely trying to appeal to the U.S. market. on their website you’ll see they refer to themselves as “North America’s largest book sellers” and almost never use the word “Canada”. If you’re located close enough to St. Catharines you can even pick up your books and save the shipping charge!
The location in St.Catharines (called the Book Depot) is wonderful and I have spent many hours looking for books there!
I just got 10 books for under 40 dollars! they were ones i have been meaning to buy but are always around 20- 35 dollars at chapters when i go.. i was worried about paying duties on them but if they ship from ontario i guess i dont have to worry about that ! thanks for the post!
How much is shipping? Reasonable but how many $?
@radeyah…about 6 or 7 bux…and that was for an order of 7 books
I order 6 novels, 5 board books and 6 kids workbooks and shipping was $8 something
shipping for me was 12.00 not too bad… that was for 10 books
