The reason it is cheap is 2 fold, not the best drive at all, also the older USB 2.0 try transferring 3tb of info on 2.0!

There’s nothing wrong with these drives. They are slower because they use green drives and USB 2.0. However, it’s not likely most people are going to be transferring 1 TB at a time, let alone 3.
If you need something for simple backups these drives work well. If you need to move around large media files all the time, then a different external drive would be better, but for general use it’s not an issue.
Dell.ca has MyBook 3TB for $109.99.. much better deal IMO.
