I hope this year that they have high quality lights for sale as opposed to the safety hazard crap that they had to recall last year.
Same shit, different day. I strongly suggest avoiding this so called deal, they take your lights, cut them up, give you some poorly made LED replacement which will likely last about a season.
I’ve done this swap twice in the past few years. While it seems a worthwhile deal, the lights you get are actually a pretty cheap make. They have replaceable bulbs, but have two different metals, so as soon as it rains/snows, they short out and corrode. Right now I have one out of 5 strings left that is functional. Much better to wait and purchase from somewhere else with decent sealed bulb style instead, those ones have lasted over 7 years for us now.
Which brand of LED lights are the most reliable? I want to switch this year but am confused by the various claims made by makers.What are your experiences?
I took advantage of this deal with some 12 yr old lines of lights I didnt even have the bulbs anymore. I got my coupons and I was told much to my surprise that I had to use the coupons today only. I couldnt use them any other day. I wasnt prepared to spend that much on lights today so that was disappointing.
I have participated in the light exchange program for tha past couple of years and i have not had one issue. Sure the lights r not top quality or a big name but the lights look good and no issues. These lights have been extremely low maintenance in compairson to the other lights
I wonder if they will give out a coupon for the LED’s that don’t work? I got all the lights up to find two of the seventy bulb sections do not work. I have tried everything to see the problem. Give me back my old lights and stop the conspirecy by telling us this is the better way!
