It looks like we can get back to shopping online, ordering coupons and trading without worrying about possible job action at Canada Post. They have finally reached a tentative agreement with their biggest union ending the uncertainty of a strike over the summer and the possibility of job action lasting until the Christmas shopping season.
Details of the contracts are not yet available, but both sides seemed pleased in their announcement. This is however a two year agreement compared to their usual four year contracts so while we can hope they work on negotiations before 2018, we can likely expect another few months of uncertainty then too.

Thank you for posting the outcome on the blog. Was waiting to find out if both sides were recognizing how antsy all postal users are about any online order shipping issues and if holiday shopping would be possible using CP.
