China doesn’t have strong regulations on food like Canada does as far as I know but I may be wrong.
I did not know that. Although if it’s going to be sold in Canada in major stores it’s probably been inspected or something. I sincerely hope so anyways!

Definitely tastes different and quality has suffered with the move to China. I cannot trust these products from that country after the melamine and other problems. So long Del Monte.
