Canadian Coupons: Get a $25 Gift Card with $250+ purchase at Real Canadian Superstore

In this week’s Real Canadian Superstore flyer there is coupon for a $25.00 gift card with a purchase of $250.00 or more, before taxes. Excludes tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions, gift cards, phone cards, lottery tickets, third party operations (post office, gas bars, dry cleaners,etc.). One per customer/family account. Valid August 26-September 1, 2011. Cannot be combined with any other promotional offers or coupons.

I think this might be good deal if you’re making a big electronics purchase there but seeing as you can’t use other coupons along with it I personally wouldn’t buy $250 worth of groceries full price for a measly $25 card.

This is not a new coupon, they have a similar one every week. Most of the time you get a free product instead of the gift card (e.g. last week it was an electric toothbrush) based on your purchase value. The gift card is our family’s favourite by far…
My family (I, my wife and my 11-month-old daughter) makes a big purchase at RCSS every 3-4 weeks, and smaller purchases at closer grocery shops (Save-on-Foods, Safeway, No Frills) when needed. This means that we reach 250 dollars pretty easily, specially with “club packs”, big diaper boxes, clothes…
BTW, you can use other coupons with this one as well, we do it all the time. The only thing is that you have to reach 250 after deducing all other coupons. At least this is what we do in both Vancouver stores and in Richmond.

I work at a Superstore and you wouldn’t believe how many people will go out of their ways to get these cards.. People will buy $500 in groceries and split it into 2 orders to get 2 cards etc lol

I have big shops and always get the card or two if its a huge order. I then save the cards and use them in Dec for Christmas gifts, dinner or donate the rest. last year I had $200 in gift cards I used in Dec. I used it to make gift bags for the homeless shelter.

WTF? Cannot be combined with other coupons? These were my fav promos to use my coupons with! First RCSS cuts back on how often they do the promo- and now this? Its sucks being punished for being frugal.

Sure you can use coupons!! Use the coupons to bring your total to $250. I had $358 in groceries, used $108 in coupons and got the $25 GC!! I do it all the time!
