Hi Leaane! I tried doing this with disastrous results. I. guess the Lysol soap has a special consistency because I tried both Softsoap (thicker) and Dawn dishsoap. Both leaked and ended up breaking the machine (or maybe just the sensor?) Let’s hope you have better luck!
I use Softsoap as the refill as well & haven’t had a leak in the over a year we’ve been using the Lysol No Touches. We pry off the green cap at the bottom, and then refill that way.
