Do calendars go lower than 75%?
Hardly any board games at Chapters are now 50% off. Most are 30% or non-discounted at all. The best was 2 weeks ago when Coles have all their board games at 50% discount. I bought so much thanks to that offer, which unfortunately didn’t lost long at all.
Ivan 75% is the lowest the calendars go. I used to work for Coles and after march/april they would write them off and throw them away. Lucky one of my managers recycled them. The rest of the “75% off” deals are not really worth making a special trip for.
Yeah, these stores must be on crack. These sales are nothing special.
Also, I can’t help but put in my $.02 here, as a piggy-back to Melissa. It’s truly disgusting how much merchandise is “damaged” in order to push new and better crap on consumers. When I worked in retail, the manager would fill dumpsters with stuff that was still completely useable or recyclable. But I guess it’s just not in the bottom line to get rid of things responsibly.
There is also a $10 off $50 in-store. I rec’d mine with my Air Miles movie passes.
