Citibank is offering a MasterCard with 0% interest for 1 year on balance transfers and no annual fees. I’m not very interested in such a card since I use my credit cards mainly for shopping; but this is an excellent credit card deal if you’re trying to invest some money or make down payments on your house.

Just a note to read the “fine print” before you decide about this. There is a “balance transfer fee” of 3% of each amount for each transfer up to a max of $75 BUT still could add up. Also there is a clause that they can raise the interest rate to over 32% on the default or lateness of one payment.
The “balance transfer fee” is a new one to me! If they didn’t have this, it would be a really good idea but I guess they have to make their money somehow and it may still be worth someone’s while to do.

yes i agree that it’s useful for very specific people. I use my credit card for shopping and always pay my credit on time so this card is of no use to me. I prefer the cash back cards
I have since taken advantage of this and there is NO balance transfer fee that has been charged…basically interest free loan till Aug 2007 up to your credit limit as long as you pay the monthly minimum payment which is around 2% of the balance…key is to never use the credit card for new transactions…just take advantage of the promotional balance transfer…pay the monthly minimum and just pay the balance in a year…its sweet
