On their last 50% off day at Value Village; I found a 50’s style dress with pleats and even a crinoline for $15… of course I paid just $7.50!!!! I always go to the 50% off events at VV. You never know what you’ll find.

Oh yes… been supplying our kids with quality brand name, often new clothing for years. Can’t even imagine the amount of $ we have saved over the years!!!

One of my favourite super cozy plaid shirts (from Eddie Bauer!) for $7.99

Not at the sale but I found brand new, never worn marrell boots in my size for $20 – exact style still on website for $180! Also, love my $20 lululemon still pants…. I barely shop anywhere else!

So can we just bring the paper to the store and we automatically get the card with no waiting time? 😮

Last week I bought a fairly rare book for $6, worth $50 on EBay. I also got Pink by Victoria Secret capris for $3 yesterday at Bibles For Missions. Friday I got my husband a reversible Eddie Bauer down filled winter vest at Salvation Army.

I’m on mat leave so thrift stores are kind of my daily outing…

I found an old exercise bike at my local thrift store for $5. It wasn’t electric but it was still in pretty good shape and you could increase the resistance by twisting this little knob. I got a lot of use out of it in the winter.

I love half of days! On the last one, I found an Armani blazer for $4…the one made in Italy, not their cheap China line. It probably retailed for nearly $1000!

found my favourite gap chambray top from VV 🙂 i think i paid $5.

do these 50% off sales usually have a lot of ppl tho? i’ve never been to one. i usually go on weekday mid morning/afternoons and it’s always pretty busy. never been to a “dead” VV.

My Mom and I collected costume jewellery. We would buy the bags of broken jewellery for about $3.99 each time. Found tons of broken real gold chains which you can sell to jewellery stores and make money. Plus found a real gold brooch from 1895 (date stamped on the inside) from England and it had a small ruby and seed pearls on the front. Years ago it was appraised at $500. I am sure with the price of gold it is more now. Great find for $3.99. I still have it:)

I always shop at VV for my family. (I actually plan vacation days around 50% off days when possible) We live in the burbs, both work professionally at the mgmt. level, and I always get comments about my wardrobe, which is mostly from La Village. It is so much fun to shop there as you never know what you are going to get!!

    My last trip,
    A great pair of lulu
    4 tunic tops
    3 pairs of pants
    1 dress
    1 work sweater
    2 suit coats
cost after 50% off?? 65.00 (bearing in mind that these were all career wear that were basically brand new)

Where did you hear about this to post this? Value Village didn’t send out an email stating this nor is it on their facebook page. According to them they post all their 50% sales on that page and there is nothing. I don’t think this actually happened.

  14. anna says:

yes, this event did happen. got lots of great stuff for my daughter all at 50% off

  15. jean hamelin says:

Could you let me know when the next 50% off sale will be, as I live one hr. away from the nearest VV in Saul Site Marie, ont. Thank’s

  16. jean hamelin says:

Miss VV, went there often when I lived in Timmins.
