usually the bay has a dior counter…only the bigger stores do at Sears (the one at the Eaton centre does for sure)

I love all the Dior makeup. Trust me, you will not be disappointed by this mascara. Only thing is you need to use makeup remover to take it off at night because it won’t come off with only water. Thanks so much!!

BTW, went into The Bay and Shoppers beauty counters today, to check what the story was. No one actually has the samples yet! But, if lucky, the Dior lady will take your name and call you – although I’m not convinced she actually WILL, this is what she said.
Guess this is a sort of mkting. Same thing happened with the sample offer from Sears. They kept telling that the samples are not in….they are lying.

I asked about it at the Bay Queen Store Toronto today and was told that they had no more of those samples.
Went into The Bay in downtown Montreal yesterday and the Dior counter had no clue what I was talking about. She looked at me like I was from SPACE.
The Dior coupon that prints states in large print that “THIS OFFER IS AVAILABLE FOR RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND ONLY” boooooo 🙂
As many above have stated this is not a North American coupon someone has cut and pasted it and modified to take out where it is available which is pretty dishonest. It isn’t really fair to get mad at the people that work in the stores when they do not have a sample that is from another continent they are not lying they really have no idea what you are talking about!!!
I can assure you Boo Radley, would not modify and cut and paste a coupon, so if it is invalid someone on the net is lying as this is on many other forums as well.
I just find it interesting that I was told that they had “run out” when obviously they had never had them to give out!
I have a “wonky” printer (black ink problem I think) – but it did print only for residents of the UK & Ireland on my coupon
i think it was incredibly irresponsible of the site owner to post this freebie when it is only valid on another continent. thumbs down.
On Tuesday, I went to the Dior counter at the Bay (in Ottawa at the St. Laurent Shopping Center) and they said the didn’t have the samples yet. The lady took my name and said they would call me when the samples came in. She called today to say they were in and both my mom and I went to get our samples. There was about 20 people on the list ahead of us. So I think the coupon must be good.
Picked up my dior mascara today. I asked about the coupon at the counter and the lady told me it was legit. There was a print ad with it on it as well. Not sure why other stores aren’t honouring it. Thanks.
I think people are being silly if some are getting its obviously legit.
Tres Bizarre this… I happened to meet a rep from H.O. @ the Dior counter in the Bay, Yorkdale today. SHE says this whole coupon is a total SCAM and anyone who filled it out has been (not her words) ‘data mined’. AND that actually, Dior is completely NOT affiliated in ANY way with the site where the voucher is from = !!!
She gave me some other sample though, which was nice.

Basically, I just wanted to inform you all of what I found out, as I thought that it was really interesting. Seems they aren’t adverse to giving a sample, if they have it, they just aren’t participating in this promo as they say its not actually FROM them…

So no it is not a scam and no one was “data mined” except for the “HO” rep.
Boo, I’m just passing on what she told me which was that Dior did not have any coupons or vouchers or promo of any kind for the mascaras, and further that they would never use phrases such as were on the printouts even if they were. She said they had seen a ton of them come in today, and had turned everyone away…
I saw the actual coupon from a print ad when I went in to the Bay. So I asked a friend that works for Dior and she says the coupon is legit. She thinks the problem is that staff aren’t properly informed. She says that some counters are refusing to honour the internet coupon but that there is definitely a print ad with the coupon on it and all the counters she knows of are honouring this one. She says the internet coupon should be honoured though.
Hi, interesting post! I’m an assistant in computer hardware store as part of my part time job till end of my college. I sometimes help out in the online promotion of the store
Dior always has other samples available if you ask nicely.
And if you ask to be on their list for promotions they send you card for free samples every 2 months.
Also in case anyone is wondering Dior does not have any more “bonus gift” promotions like the other companies- that was discontinued last year.
-the eyeshadow in the pic, if it is a Dior one looks like the one that comes in a small jar and is a waterproof cream eyeshadow. costs $30-35 i think…
to me, the eyeshadow in the pic looks like ‘retrospeck’ from MAC.
