Chevrolet Canada is offering FREE Bauer hockey helmets to children who are 5 years old (born 2006). To be eligible your child not only needs to be born in 2006 but also has to be registered in a Canadian Minor Hockey League. The program officially launches September 21st but you can pre register now.
Having a child who plays hockey the equipment can be quite expensive so if you can get any of it for FREE that’s a bonus!

This program has already started. We had pre-registered in July and received an email yesterday. If you register today, you will get an email confirmation immediately which includes your local Chevy dealership and the participating stores (the Foranzi group stores including Sportchek, Sport Mart, Pro Hockey Life)
The email will instruct you to visit your local dealership with your confirmation number, the player’s birth certificate and proof of registeration for your hockey club this year. You will then get a package for a gift card for the Bauer 2100 helmet combo plus a $25 voucher for a future purchase of a miniumum of $50. You exchange the gift card for the helmet. Check your dealership to make sure they have received their packages and your local Foranzi store that they have received the Chevy helmets which are specifically for this program. You will encounter bewildered looks from the employees but there should be someone who will know what you are talking about – be patient and ask for the manager. It will be worth the wait for this $60 helmet.
This is a great program. I encourage everyone to take advantage of it. It truly is FREE and ensures the safety of your little hockey player. Everyone is a winner!
