The previous code giving out 1000 points worked for me – but this code is stating:

I went to the previous post and did it through a link at the bottom of that page (it needed to be specifically icoke – where as the link above is for the previous 1000 free points which I had already redeemed)

So basically, sign into your scene.ca account, after you sign in, click on this link

I entered in the icoke promo code and got the message that it was not valid! I didn’t give up! Kept on hitting submit and it was finally accepted! My hubby is now a happy man – he gets to take his wife on a free day. Many thanks!
I actually got two cards in my name to my address (so that’s four free movies) …. hmm but I kind of feel guilty now….

When do these codes expire?
I tried logging on to my original account, but it doesn’t recognize my password. Even when I’ve reset the password, it still doesn’t work. After 3 attempts which was considered “wrong password entry”, my account was locked up, and I have to contact Scene about this. What’s going on?

I had my account do the exact same as yours JC
I just made a new account and the codes worked fine – if you sign up first and then put in the two promo codes you end up witha total of 2250 points – 250 for sign up and 1000 each for the promos

I tried it, but the icoke code says, “Invalid code”. Not sure why it won’t work for me. I got the first 1250 points, but not the extra 1000.
Make sure that the page you are trying to enter the code on it specifically says Icoke. It kept doing that to me until I used Jamie’s link (which actually says Icoke).
1) The comment-feed entry for this page doesn’t seem to work (at least not in Google Reader).
2) For my problem of the password not working, you have to close down the old page/tab, and open up a new page/tab.
Correction: The feed works, it just doesn’t have a title, as all my other feeds do.
Just a note to everyone who is signing up for a new Scene card. This happened when I was trying to get my mom to sign up for the card.
Don’t sign up via the promo page (https://www.scene.ca/PromoDetail.aspx), i.e., don’t start the sign up process by entering the promo code under the “Not a member?” box on the left. If you do that, you only get a total of 1000 points. If you check the account info, they show that 250 points have been credited for signing up, but only 750 for the icoke bonus. Go to http://www.scene.ca to sign-up instead.
If you sign-up first (without entering any promo codes!), you get your 250 sign-on bonus points, and then later you can go back and use the given links and codes to earn 2000 more points. This way you get a total of 2250 points.
I keep trying the second code and it just wont work. Keeps saying Invalid Code even though I am trying all the links. Any help?

When the page loads, make sure that it specifically say’s icoke on the page before you try to put the second code in. You may have to load the page a few times, but keep trying.
If that does not work you could always try calling scene. I locked out my account (ops!) and had to call them and it only took a couple minutes to get through to a real person. They might be able to manually put the code on for you.

For anyone who is already a Scotiabank customer and has not switched their banking card to a Scene one, go do it! It is worth it to just make the switch and only takes a minute at a teller.
I got 1000 points for getting the new card AND LINKING IT to my scene card online and then another 1000 points because I already had 2 automatic debits set up on my account plus every time I use my debit card, I get a few points for every transaction. Now I have enough for 4 movies!

Neither code working now… need a unique PIN # from the gift pack.

Code worked a few days ago but its not valid anymore.
Neither of the codes will work anymore without a pin number that you can get when you purchase a movie gift package from Cineplex theatres.
There was a facebook group that was started

and apparently people were making dozens and dozens of these cards and selling them on Ebay opr just keeping them all for themselves etc….. so of course cineplex caught on …. (especially since – according to facebook – they were using names like peter griffin and robert munsch) so thanks to all those douchebags I couldn’t get some of my family members the free movies in time….

Yeah…my sister just got her card, and I didn’t have a chance to get her some more points…:(
According to the previously mentioned facebook group – some cineplex theatres are asking for ID with the scene cards – so maybe the scammers who made up dozens of fake names will get caught – we can only hope – However we used our scene cards on the weekend and didn’t get asked for ID – perhaps it’s just 18 and 19 year olds not looking old enough to get into “R” movies
Cineplex should be able to do something with cards that have names like
McLovin
Peter Griffin
Mariah Carey
and Robert Munsch on them
Just cancel their accounts or something
or multiple accounts with the same email address…
