y must you pay with ur starbux card if its free? do u have to buy one first?
@ joe ; because it is to some extent a reward for those which have registered Starbucks card. They go “scan” the card.
Does the rbc visa count as a starbucks rewards card?
If not, how can I obtain one?
Thanks!.
how can I obtain one star buck card?
Thanks, definitely a good deal and healthy. I’ve tried it and next time I’d ask them to cut down on the whey powder for a better taste.
@thebanker,
If you have the RBC Visa starbucks duetto card, then yes, the card counts as a starbucks card.
@the banker, The Starbucks card is like a Tim Hortons card. The ones you pick up in the shop and load with money. You need to pick up the card, load it with like $5 and then register the card online at starbucks.ca. When you go in for the free product, you need to “pay” with your registered card. In essence, they will take the money off the card then credit it back to the card.
If you ever add shots to your coffees and such, the registered card also entitles you to free shots. Pretty good incentive to get it registered. 🙂
@JC….but doesn’t it have to be “registered” at the starbucks site?
While this may sound dumb on my part, my card is registered but has no money left on it. The card has to have some money on it for you to get a free smoothie. I tried today and it did not work and I could not get a free drink.
Pout! Oh well!
Can you get more than one smoothie during the day?
