Canadian Freebies: Goodlife Fitness Women 5 Day Membership

goodlifefitnesslogo

I came across a thread in the freebie section for a free 5 day membership to Goodlife Fitness. I filled in the information and they e-mailed me the coupon so I thought I’d share it here. Here is the blurb from the email they sent me:

“Simply print off this coupon and come into any one of our GoodLife Fitness for Women’s clubs near you to start bringing fitness into your lifestyle. Once at the club, you will receive a complimentary Health Age Assessment. It’s alarming to hear and no one wants to be older than their chronological age, yet, did you know that most of the population, through their own lifestyle choices, is left with a body older in years than they are by the time they reach 30? You have taken the first step in improving your Health Age, not becoming part of this statistic, and facing the world with a new, healthier you! Enjoy your 5 Day Gift!”

Click here to print your 5 day membership coupon.

Thanks to farazaz for posting this freebie!

I’m a long-time member of a club that Goodlife took over fairly recently. Good luck with that 5-day membership: before you can even use their equipment or take a class, you’ll have to come in for a really LONG physical and then sit-down assessment, during which they’ll pressure you to buy the annual membership. Just saying. I despise Goodlife, and their Les Mills classes actually. I wish their was more of a choice of gyms in the area.

edit: I wish “there” was more of a choice of gyms in the area.

I agree, signe up 4 days ago they said my first payment would come come out 2 weeks later. Guess what the 2nd day they took it out, and I agree I hate Goodlife they are such money hungry people.

kristin – where you located? most cities have goodlife’s, maybe you can locate it on the store locator.

I have had a goodlife membership twice now, cancelled both times. It’s expensive and I never went enough to make it worse my while. You need dedication for these types of things.

I just joined a few months ago and I love it! I can understand the things that you are saying about them being money hungry ppl… but really, who isn’t these days… ( company wise )
I think it is a personal issue if you have the dedication to make it worth while. I feel good going and thats what I need!

my dad and brother go to goodlife. Their membership is pretty cheap because they are under a family umbrella, If i were to join my membership would be even cheaper, but I cant be bothered since their fitness classes change times and slots monthly. I want something that is stable and pretty much at the same time and date every month.

I used to work as a membership coordinator for Goodlife. Like Chris said, it is just a gimmick to get you into the gym so they can give you a long pitch about joining. Usually it takes a half an hour before they will even give you your pass and then after five days if you refuse to join still they will call you every two weeks.

The same with the boxes in stores that say “Enter to win a two week membership free”. It’s just a fishing scam to call people up to get them to come into the gym. The first hour of my day was spent calling up all these people. So annoying. I really hated that job.

My hubby joined Goodlife and once they got his banking info they were processing double payments. So they were double charging him and wouldn’t reverse the charges. It was a nightmare to get it straightened out. He actually had to close his bank account and file complaint charges because they just wouldn’t stop double debiting his account. Maybe it was just a fluke, but just be very careful giving your bank info to these people!!!

I am subscribed now and waiting to see what all this blog holds 🙂 Very good post though.

Goodlife Fitness in Burnaby, BC SUCKS (North Road location). It is true they are money hungry and very rude! Also, they are way too expensive for what you get. I will never join Goodlife fitness every again nor refer anyone to such a place.

not only is goodlife the worst gym you could choose, it’s the worst employer out there.
