you should probably take this link down. i have heard of many, many problems with greenie products. just way to many stories to ignore this. you can probably google way more stories.
Complications reported include small intestinal obstruction; stricture, ulceration and perforation. A few pets died or were euthanized from complications. Greenies are also associated with tooth fractures in dogs.

OMG! Thanks Kingy for bringing the greenies problems to our attention. My dogs love them but I don’t buy them often as they are pricy. I will no longer buy them.
I requested a sample last time it was available. It asked me how many dogs I have and I answered two. I was disappointed when they mailed me only one greenies. I mean, why ask me how many dogs I have if you’re sending me one greenies anyway? How do I determine which dog to give it to? Now I’m glad, less ia actually more!
It should be noted that the articles kingy mentioned all pertain to the dog treats, in fact the first one even said that they still recommend the feline variety. I have given Greenises treats to my cats before without a problem and hope to receive my sample soon.
I recall signing up for a greenies sample before and never received a thing.. My mother also signed up and received nothing.. 🙁 Thanks though 🙂
I signed up for a sample of greenies cat treats (not food, just the treats), and I received them a couple weeks later.
My cat seems to like them and I haven’t noticed any problems. A friend of mine also only buys greenies food and treats for her two cats.
I guess it’s good to do your research though – but make sure you look at the validity of the sources.

I got free greenies. no problem with receiving the sample. Also, there’s rumours going around that greenies are “bad” – result in deaths – but there are also corrections to this story (google search) – greenies are dangerous for “gulpers” but not dogs that chew normally.
hi i was reading the posts. i have worked in a pet store for several years. Greenies are the most healthiest and best dental treat for dogs and cats. a few years ago, greenies had a few problems with the digestion of the dog greenies,but only because them customers were buying the wrong size for their pet because you would get more in a bag and its cheaper. If eaten the wrong size it would sit in their belly and not digest properly.But the proper size they cannot just swallow and have it sit in their belly. Even tho this was the customers decision… Greenies reformulated their greenies so that it is very easy to digest now, and their is no moreissues,its been several years sense there was a issue.
but you should still feed the proper size, they even have the proper weights on the different sized greenies!
