Canadian Freebies: Tim Hortons Free Iced Coffee on July 19
i work at tim hortons on PEI and we have been serving the new iced coffee, way better than last years, as a test run. it suceeded big time here so it will probably be available next summer in the rest of canada
I emailed them about this a few days ago and it’s in the USA only
This is only in the United States.
I just saw this Ad on TV .. it said to drop by at Tim Horton’s on July 19th for free sampling of ICED Coffee. It’s valid in Canada. I’m from Toronto.
I phoned Tim Hortons and they confirmed that it is a US only promo
You can phone Tim Hortons customer service at 1-888-601-1616 and ask for yourself
I’d like to phone Timmy’s and complain…seeing as Canada is THE place to get a Timmys…the nerve of them offering free iced java to the USA…when was the last time Starbucks gave us anything free???
I had seen the ad on tv as well, and asked at three separate Tim Horton’s here in Ottawa…no one had heard of either the free promotion OR the product (iced coffee). I can understand free promotions in the U.S. if the company is attempting to expand and drum up business south of the border, but why is this new product not even available in Canada? Tim’s is a Canadian company; shouldn’t Canadians be offered all of their products?
i went there today and they laughed at me ,,,,, timmys is canadian not american
for the record, its timmys is american since its been bought by Wendys
but hey I still love timmys
Plenty of other coffeshops around who acutally value their customers. Timmy Ho’s began to lose its legendar status when it stopped cooking its donuts free at each branch anyway. To stay in biz, you offer more, not less.
I visited a friend in Kingston on June 28th and they had iced coffee there, but upon my return to Ottawa on June 30th they had never heard of it here. Told me that Kingston/Peterborough was a test market…….I was so disappointed as I wanted a lower-calorie change from Iced Cappuccino’s.
I live in Kingston and I tried it during the test period and it tasted like crap… it’s basically cold coffee without anything creative added to make it taste good.
im from the north just past vaughan, ON. I was in Buffalo this past weekend and went thru a timmy’s drive thru. saw the ad for iced coffee in the parking lot. thought to myself. its sweltering out… might as well try an iced coffee since i was gunna grab an iced cap. (cant knock them, but ive been waiting for iced coffee) tried it.. loved it. not in canada?? THATS ABSOLUTE BS! especially to ban it from canada. big deal wendys owns tims and now is american owned. more than 90% of their gross income is from the canadian tims. HELLLLO???? bring the iced coffee here ya morons.
i went to tim hortons today and asked about the commercial im from canada and seen it and tripped out haha. but yeah they laughed at me i was pissed they were like that mcdonalds! i was like I SEEN IT! but canada def needs to get on the iced coffee like its hot out lol and its good
I visited Tim’s today in Morrisburg, Ontario. I asked the server about the iced coffee, she told me I confused them with McDonalds..haha. Ya right, I seen the commercial on TV, hoping to try the new product. She told me there was no such item..what’s up with that?
Once again, Canadians get shafted..
Meanwhile, McDonalds is giving away free iced coffee, in Ontario only:
