Are you one of those people who have wanted an Instant Pot for ages but haven’t bought one yet? There is a great deal at Canadian Tire for their Red Thursday/Black Friday sale. This deal is valid while supplies last Thursday through Sunday and you can get a 6Qt (regular size) Instant Pot Duo for only $69.99. This size regularly retails for $129.99 and goes on sale for around $100 so this is a great price for the family sized pot.
The 6Qt Instant Pot is a 7-in-1 multi-functional cooker with 14 built-in programs. Use it as a Pressure Cooker, Rice Cooker, Slow Cooker, Sauté, Steam, Yogurt Cooker, and Warmer.
Quantities at stores near me vary a lot with their current stock and hopefully they will get a delivery before the big sale. Click here to check quantities at your local store.

Walmart will have it 20$ cheaper than crappy tire this weekend
I’m wondering if you are guessing or if you have already seen the Walmart flyer advertising it for $20 cheaper for the 6quart version?
Te version at Walmart is different, it does not cook at low pressure. Still a good starter model (and a good price for the LUX) but personally, I would spend the $20 for the extra features in the DUO.
That’s the LUX model pictured. It’s on sale at Walmart for $48.88. The DUO60 (6 qt) is the one at Cdn Tire for $69.99. Superstore has the DUO60 for $69.97, plus there’s no tax Friday Nov 24. Best Buy will have the DUO80 (8 qt) for $99.99.
The LUX models are more basic, only lacking the low-pressure option & the yogurt function, both of which all DUO models have.
All of these are crazy good prices.
Thanks Lynda, RCSS was not yet available when I posted.
The Canadian Tire deal is still great for the many of us without access to RCSS though.
Can this be used as a pressure cooker as well? ie: for canning…TIA
no, never for pressure canning. No electronic pressure cooker is safe for real pressure canning, although some brands claim to be. The electronics constantly adjust the heat & pressure for cooking safety, pressure canning needs constant consistent heat for an extended time.
They are all fine for water-bath canning, just like any boiling pot of water.
Thanks Grinchyheart!
Home Outfitters has Duo for $99.99, with $20 gift card for every $75 spent. I can’t tell whether it’s the 6 or 8 qt model.
