I was looking forward to this Saturday’s 20X Optimum points event at Shoppers Drug Mart. I find that Shoppers’ Optimum points are the most valuable of all reward programs out there. Optimum points can be very effectively redeemed as opposed to other points/miles.
Shoppers Drug Mart had several 20X events and the flyers during these special days were always decent. This time however, Shoppers Drug Mart – knowing that we have to spend $50+ to get the 20X points – decided to treat us like fools. The flyer barely has a single good deal and the weekend deals were shifted one day to avoid overlapping with the 20X event!
Shoppers Drug Mart, please don’t ruin your wonderful programs and rewards. You can’t fool consumers.
This Sunday December 3rd, 2006 Sears is giving out a free $10 Sears Gift card to the first customers in Sears (usually first 100 or 200 customers). Sears has these free gift cards almost every other week. There used to be no minimum purchase requirement but I believe they’re changed it now.
As far as I know, this is the first time HP offers 12 days of deals starting on December 1, 2006. Unfortunately they haven’t done a great job. Shop at HPhopping.ca.

The source is having 12 days of Christmas deals starting on December 1st. Other than the Radio Controlled Hummer on Day 2 (December 2) and the Drum Set on Day 5 (which should read $99.99 not $599.99) I can’t see any other worthy deals. Shop for these deals here.
If you look at the price savings for Days 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 you’ll notice that they’ve all been calculated wrongly 😯 Someone at The Source needs to learn how to use a calculator 🙄
Here are the deals for each Day. The source are mixing the days:
