Tomorrow is a day that is full of freebies, you could start your day by heading over to IHOP for a free stack of pancakes, and then follow that up by taking your kiddies (ages 6-14) to a free Lego Mini Build event at your nearest retail Lego location.
The event will start at 5pm, but supplies are limited (since your kids will be taking their creations home with them afterwards for free!) so I’d suggest getting there early to guarantee your spot. This month’s mini build is a mini Robot, like the one pictured above and since this event runs every month, if you’re not able to make it tomorrow, just mark it off for next month!

Head into your local IHOP Canada tomorrow between the hours of 7am-10pm, and when you dine-in you will be able to participate in IHOP’s National Pancake Day giveaway.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary of the National Pancake Day giveaway, IHOP will give you a stack of short pancakes (3 Original Buttermilk Pancakes) for free. The only payment you’ll have to make, and even then it’s not obligatory, is a donation of any size to IHOP who will be donating the proceeds from the day to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Their goal for this year is to raise 3.5 million dollars for the day, which will be given to either the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals or to a local charity of the store’s choice.

This weekend, when you use your Hudson’s Bay Canada MasterCard or Credit Card, you could save an extra 15% off on almost everything online and in-store at Hudson’s Bay Canada. The event will begin today, and end on Sunday, March 1st with the only restrictions being on the following brands listed here (which are a bit too extensive for me to list all of them here).
As there are a fair number of apparel brands that you are not permitted to use this discount on, I’d suggest shopping within the home department where your only restrictions are that you cannot use the discount on: major appliances, Dyson, Espro, Nespresso, and Vitamix products. An example of a hot find you could use your 15% off on would be something like this KitchenAid 2-speed hand blender, which is normally $79.99, but with your extra 15% off it will just be $68.
The Hudson’s Bay Canada will ship to your home for free should you spend over $99, but remember that this discount is also available to be used in-store as well.

This weekend, Lowe’s Canada will be having a friends and family event, both for in-store and online shoppers, where you can save an additional 10% off when you spend $100 or more on anything. For in-store shoppers, the discount will automatically be applied to your purchase when you go through the checkout, but for online shoppers you will have to enter the promo code, FF10, to receive your extra 10% off.
Lowe’s will be running this event until March 1st, so this would be an excellent time to peruse through their flyer to see if there are any eye-catching deals that can be stacked with this 10% off offer. For instance, I was able to find this Frigidaire Gallery Smooth Surface Freestanding 5-Element 5.7-cu-ft Convection Electric Oven for $100 off the regular price, as it is currently being sold for just $798 (was $898). Plus, with the extra 10% off it will come down to being just $718.90.
There are a number of other deals going on in-store and online at Lowe’s, all of which would provide you with ample opportunities to combine with the Family and Friends extra 10% off discount.
Lowe’s Canada will offer free-shipping on all orders that exceed $49, unless they are oversized/overweight in which case you may have to pay an additional fee. Alternatively, if you are below the $49 minimum, you can opt to have your order shipped to the nearest Lowe’s location for free.
To celebrate opening their 1000th store, Krispy Kreme Canada will be giving their first 1000 customers at participating locations one free Original Glazed Doughnut per person. Though the store that Krispy Kreme is opening is located in Kansas, the site is telling us that certain locations worldwide will be able to pick up this freebie – should you get there in time that is!

Good morning Smart Canucks! This fine Monday we’ll be kicking off the deals with some free offers from your favourite Canadian fast-food chains, that is McDonald’s Canada and Tim Hortons Canada. You’ll perhaps remember last week when we warned you how McDonald’s would once again be offering their free small cups of premium roast coffee, which will be starting today and running until March 1st.
In addition to that wonderful freebie from McDonald’s, you can also cash in on the Tim Hortons offer which, coincidentally enough, will also be running from today until March 1st, but will instead be offering a free hash brown with the purchase of any beverage and breakfast sandwich.
These are two great offers that will save you at the very least a couple of dollars during your morning work week routine. The question that still begs to be answered though, is which offer will you be taking advantage of? McDonald’s free coffee or Tim Hortons free hash brown? Or, for those more daring, both?
Toys R Us Canada will be a hosting, as they’re calling it, The Ultimate Family Event this Saturday, February 21st where there will be storewide discounts, free games, and giveaways designed for the entire family to enjoy. The event is free, and there is no registration necessary, but if you’re wanting to cash-in on some of the in-store giveaways you should aim to get there earlier, as there is only a limited supply available at each location.
A small sampling of what you can come to expect during this free play day at Toys R Us includes:

You’ll perhaps have heard by now from other postings we’ve made about Shoppers Drug Mart Canada today, but just in case you haven’t we’re here to let you know about the 20X the Shoppers Optimum points event going on this Saturday, February 21st. To receive 20X the points, you will have to spend $50 or more on almost anything in-store, with the standard restricted items applying.
Since you’re already going to be in Shoppers on Saturday, you may also be interested in some of the deals that are going on for just the 21st, such as:

And so it continues, with the Target Canada reductions have now gone up to 40% off their original price during their final closeout sale, with some exceptions applying.
Select pieces will be going between 20%-40% off, but bear in mind that some of these prices may have been initially marked up, only to reflect a ‘discount’ that only appears larger than what it actually is. While this isn’t the nicest of things for consumers to have to deal with, it just means that you may have to do a bit more digging to find the really good deals hidden in Target’s liquidation sale. My advice? Always price compare! Especially before making bigger ticket purchases, it’s really rather easy to do a quick Google search to see if Walmart or Best Buy has prices that can beat Target’s closing ones.
It’s a sad time to have to finally face saying goodbye to Target, but at the very least during your time of mourning you should try to pick up some of their last minute hot deals before they completely leave Canada’s backyard.
For March Break this year, why not opt for a less traditional day camp for your kiddies that involves exercising their creativity, rather than their legs and getting excited over reading, rather than getting amped up over winning a game of intramural soccer? While sports are an important part of a child’s development, stimulating your child’s reading and writing skills are equally important, but are often forgotten about. Chapters Indigo Canada is giving you the chance to change this, and for free as well, when you attend their Best Ever March Break events which will run from Monday through Friday – though the specific dates will vary by location.

There is a long list of the most anticipated books that you can pre-order from Chapters Indigo at 40% off, but the one that I am most looking forward to is J.K. In this book, Rowling draws from the inspiring commencement speech she delivered to the 2008 graduating class of Harvard University. Other notable titles include, Judy Blume’s, In The Unlikely Event, and Kazuo Ishiguro’s (author of Never Let Me Go) novel, The Buried Giant: a Novel.

There’s nothing better than hearing the words FREE on a Tuesday morning, especially when it’s the Tuesday following a holiday Monday and there are burgers attached to that free announcement.
