Porter Airlines Canada is providing you with a promo code, 3MPMKD, that will discount the base fares of tickets by an extra 20% off of the public sale, where you can already save up to 40% off on base fare tickets. The public sale will be going un till May 22nd at 11:59pm EST, but you will only be allowed to use this extra saving promo code until midnight tonight.
When you’re booking, you will have to book your travel with at least 21 days advance notice, and the last possible day for you till travel by will be September 17th. And while most of the public sale is up to 40% off, Atlantic Canada will only have their flights discounted by up to 30% off.
Since the discount won’t be available for Canada Day weekend, or rather from July 1st-5th, I thought if someone was trying to book a trip to our nation’s capital for the big Canada Day celebrations they could leave a day early and fly back a few days later, to make for a more lengthy trip that’s a bit cheaper too. For instance, I was able to find a roundtrip ticket from Toronto to Ottawa, leaving on June 30th and returning on July 6th, that was just $193.95. This is about $21.05 less expensive than the lowest advertised fare that Google Flight Tracker found, making it a pretty decent deal in my opinion.
The other days that you won’t be allowed to travel during this sale are:
- June 26th – June 28th
- July 1st – July 5th
- July 30th – August 4th
- and September 3rd – September 8th
Also, some of the flights will not have the discount available from 4pm to 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. Though the earlier you book, the greater your odds are for getting the best deal available.
