Starbucks Canada has started up another one of their Rewards Members exclusive offers, where you can earn bonus stars for adding more espresso kick to your morning coffee. The offer, as is pretty standard for Starbucks nowadays, is the ability to earn a bonus star when you either purchase an espresso based beverage, or add a shot of espresso to any handcrafted espresso drink.
I personally received an e-mail saying that I could earn my bonus stars by adding a shot of espresso to my espresso based beverage, and this offer can be redeemed as many times as you like between the promotional period of February 10th-16th. If you’re needing to book a last minute trip, which is what this sale is really targeted for, then you should definitely check out VIA Rail’s prices before booking a flight. For instance, I was looking for last minute prices on a trip to Winnipeg from Toronto for this weekend, and while it does take longer to get there, the prices were nearly half that of if you were to book a flight.
I used Google Flight Tracker (every travel buddies best friend) to compare the airplane prices for the same trip that would be leaving on February 11th and returning for February 17th. The flights for this trip, on average, would’ve cost $773, while a train trip would cost you $375.90 (taxes included).
