Changes to Telus Monthly Wagjag Credit Coming April 1st

images

Wagjag just emailed an announcement from Wagjag & Telus regarding the $10 Wagjag Credit that Telus users get every month

We have made an important update to the monthly WagJag offer for TELUS customers.

As a TELUS mobile phone customer, you will continue to be eligible for the $10 WagJag credit each month. However, starting April 1st 2013, the $10 credit will only be valid for WagJag offers of $40 or more.

So you will still get a monthly credit, but you will no longer be able to get items for free using them.  I am sad to see this go – I have enjoyed some great freebies or very cheap wagjags using it.  What do you think?

Boo!! Telus has to give $10 to Wagjag anyway. What difference does the minimum make? I suspect Wagjag changed the terms of this deal

  2. Elle says:

I agree. I enjoyed using the $10 credit on deals that were $20 or below.

It’s likely I won’t be using the $10 credit as often anymore.

  3. Jonathan says:

I likely won’t be using the credit much unless it is for something I really really want.

  4. Diana says:

I’m a Telus customer but I wasn’t aware of this offer. I can’t believe I’ve been missing such a great deal. How do I sign up?

  5. FatB says:

Have been enjoying my credit for a past 6 months. I can tell you that none of my wagjag purchases have been over $40 in a single buy, so this change pretty much kills it.

  6. Sparkles says:

This stinks! I have received a lot of freebies as a result of this credit as both hubby and I have Telus plans. It was part of the reason why I stayed with Telus. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased a deal on Wagjag that was at least $40 (not even $30)!

The only reason I even used wagjag is because of the Telus deal. I suspect it was costing Telus a lot because people who otherwise would not have bought things did buy them if they’re close to $10, cos then they’re basically free. It will hurt wagjag – I for one will not be using it anymore. And my cell contract expired in Jan 2013. I want the z10 and was gonna resign w Telus. Since there is no wagjag perk, I will take a good look at what Rogers and Bell have to offer.

  8. Anita says:

true true true, if not the $10 deal i will never buy any deal from Wagjag…. and i just used one of the $10 to $20 for a burger dinner…. suck… won’t use Wagjag if i need to pay extra $30…..

  9. Sharryn says:

Not good ! This is useless I have never bought anything from Wag jag over $20.00.
I use the TELUS credit every month, all good thing come to an end.
I most often used it to try local restaurants and they are rarely over $30.00 and thus has been the only way I would ever try them or even afford to go out to dinner.
I was just tell people how usefull the TELUS credit is, now this makes it just like before a credit that no one can use. My friend just got a bogo offer for food from Virgin Mobile. TELUS obviously don’t care, it was a great perk.

  10. Lisa L says:

I agree with previous comments…I have not purchased anything from WagJag that would fit the new rules. Looks like I won’t be using WagJag much or maybe even Telus.

  11. Colin says:

Same here….I have only used the credit for items $20 or less. I have had some nice deals, too.

I wonder if we will be able to buy a couple of items to make the total $40.

  12. Danielle says:

For all those affected please email wagjag and let them know u are not happy… [email protected]

  13. Kris says:

I have emailed the to advise them of my disappointment with this decision and advise anyone else to do so.
[email protected] does not seem to work, bounces back and says it cannot be delivered.
Then sent to [email protected], seems to have worked.

  14. 16 yr mobile customer says:

Nope wont bother buying anything from that site now.

  15. Courteney says:

I loved this credit, I am sad to see the changes. I will most likely not be buying any more from Wagjag, as every deal I have purchased was under $40.
