I was in the Chapters Ancaster store tonight.
Xmas gift wrap Jumbo rolls are 50% off-non-glitter printed paper reg. $5 now $2.50-about 10 different patterns. Glittery paper is about $12 reg. Also check under the tables of small items-there were off-white rolls of wrap with dime-size gold dots.
Indigo plastic canvas totes in four colours: green, dk aqua, purple and black. Smallest one is $1.49 and medium is $1.99 in case you need something for bulky gift items or one convenient bag to hold everything.
Gourmet treats-buy 2 get 3rd one free. The candies (gummy bears $6, wine gums $6, giant gum drops $5, chocolate treats tend to be $10-check tiny print on side or lower right back of labels). Food section is mostly hot chocolate bundles, bagged candy, some tea tins and peppermint/holiday treats-had to look for it. Mind you, the Godiva choc. stand is near the cash lineup area-bars and choc. pearls are for sale.
Gamago Zombiekeys are stocked $8 (they are graphic designed key caps) in the stocking stuff/impulse section but there are no Quirkeys (owls) or Kitty Keys (cats) nor Guitarkeys (guitars) in stock. Store no longer has a clearance merchandise section, as there is now an Indigo tech section installed there right by the cafe.
Magazine section-some magazines are bagged with extras or a 2014 calendar-you might like to buy a specialty mag as a surprise for some of your gift list recipients.
Starting tomorrow, the store will be open until 11pm until Dec 23, then close at 6pm on Dec 24.
