I just got a pair for my daughter. I was suspicious, but an SCer I met face to face said it was great so I tried it. You need to be able to upload a picture to measure pupil distance along with your prescription, and you have to get them adjusted, but they work great. And Ultimately, they will refund your money if you have major issues. You can read up on it at the BBB website. They have had 35 major prob’s in 7 years, and all were basically resolved. I have to admit I was pleasantly suprised. I bet they get a LOT of business from doing this.

    is this valid in toronto?

  11. Terri says:

Yes!! It seems too good to be true, but it is a free pair. You only have to pay if you want photogrey or tints. I received mine and I really am happy with them. I just needed to take them into a local optician to adjust the fit slightly (I had prior business with them, so they didn’t ask where I got them).

Third free giveaway in 3 weeks. Almost once every week. What’s going on? I got my free pair a couple of weeks ago. Love my new pair. For those who already got a free pair, go to their Facebook site and email them and they will send you another code for a free pair. You will get a code for a free pair and the best part is you don’t have to wait until May 17. I got another free pair!!!!

  13. t says:

momo28- if you already rec’d one free pair, you will be in their system and you, or anyone else at the your same address, will be ineligible. At least that was my past experience.

  14. christine says:

Is the prescription for the glasses the same as the prescription for contact lenses? ( ie. Left -1.25 right -1.50)

  15. Wilson says:

My son wears specialty lenses (bifocals) and I tried to get him a free pair last sale – they still came up as over two hundred dollars, even after being discounted $150.

At Hakim Optical I can get him two pairs with his bifocal lenses for less than $150 and they have a break guarantee.

Between the free deal + a SwarmJam deal, I’ve bought 3 pair of glasses from them for just over $60. My single pair of classes from the optometrist was just under $300… The Clearly Contacts glasses come everything free that is an extra $24 per item, such as scratch resistance coatings…

For a regular pair of glasses, they’re an excellent deal.

  17. Chantalz says:

I got an Anne Klein pair last week. My friend got Dockers and they look great. Wearing mine right now. Unbelievable!! $13 glasses (only paid shipping).

Their plan worked though – I now want to buy from them next time I need a pair.

  18. Sarah says:

@christine: no, glasses and contact lens prescriptions are not the same, even though they may seem that way. You should have a separate prescription for both.

Anyways, I love love love clearly contacts! All my glasses and contacts I buy there.

The first pair I bought there were much better quality than what I got at the optometrist. My eye doctor is great, but they didn’t make their own lenses, they sent it out to a lab somewhere, and that lab made some very low quality lenses. And I paid $300+ for one pair of glasses at the eye doctors. I know a lot of optometrist’s who hate online stores, because not only does it take business away from them, but there are a lot of customers who play willy nilly with their prescriptions and measurements and try to be their own doctor. There will always be those people, but for responsible consumers, this is great!

  19. JoLe says:

    Hi,

Does anyone know if they allow you to choose any pair of glasses for free? Or do you have to pick from a select few?

  20. B says:

Got mine from the last round of freebies today! They’re great. I had to upgrade my lenses to the most expensive (I have a VERY high prescription, and I’m used to paying for lens upgrades). All in I spent $90. That’s still a 55% savings over the initial price using the code; not bad for a back up pair (I generally prefer glass lenses which are thinner with a very high prescription). I’m used to paying $300-$400 for glasses.

My mom also got a pair and she only paid S&H for hers.

Both pairs are well made, and name brand frames. I’m reccomending the deal to all my friends, and I think I’m going to be buying my contacts from them from now on (the prices are pretty good)- so they are getting new and continuing customers from this promotion.

  21. Nicothepickle says:

@JoLe There are a few pairs that say “Coupons not accepted” on them and those won’t work, but the majority of them are indeed free.

This has validated in my mind at least. The thought that glasses for what they’re made off are vastly overpriced. I think people who need glasses always were a captive market, but now we have options, and I’m happy not to pay $300 for mine anymore.

  22. Mary Ann says:

can anyone reply to momo28 comment that states “just go the website & email them for a code & you can get another pair free’. Sounds too good to be true because they always state applies to first time buyers only
