LOS ANGELES — Jewelry from two entire lines being sold exclusively at Walmart stores across the U.S., including bracelets and necklaces branded by Miley Cyrus, contains high levels of the toxic metal cadmium, according to an Associated Press investigation.
Testing of 61 samples across the U.S. from a Cyrus line and from a series of make-it-yourself metal bracelet charms indicated 59 of the pieces contained at least five per cent cadmium by weight, with 53 of those measuring 10 per cent or higher.
A spokeswoman for Walmart Canada said the jewelry in question is not sold in Canada.

This was in the flyer? I’ve looked at all the WalMart flyers for this week, and online, and never came acoss this. I even checked the rest of the country’s WM flyers online to see if it’s somewhere else. I never saw this advertised. Have to check and see when I go there tonight I guess.
I found the ad on page 4 of the Walmart Supercentre flyer that I got delivered to my home, and on page 6 of the Walmart Supercentre flyer on the web. So yah, the paper flyers and the online flyers are not quite the same, and I think there’s variations of those when you go across the country.
I used my save.ca coupons at the Vancouver Walmart Supercentre today and got a couple bottles of the marinade for $1 each. The availability of these coupons on save.ca comes and goes, so you gotta be quick and order them when they’re available. 🙂
