did they just jack up the price, like big time??

    • bretherin says:

yes they did, last year the deal was $24.99 for 2 admission, 2 drinks, and a popcorn…now it’s $19.49 for a single person

This is not a deal at all.

  2. Love a Deal says:

With these new prices….they can’t wonder why people stream movies.
What was once $25 for 2 people, is now $19 for one…W T actual F?

  3. Bytown says:

Did they price this in USD then converted it back to CAD?
    This is nuts

  4. JulieC says:

Wow, crazy prices and they haven’t even brought back the kids’ tickets. won’t be buying again

Sorry Costco.. But you’ve been failing for a year and a half now. Wonder where my membership dollars are going since it looks like my groceries are about the same price in your stores than the Maxi’s, Loblaws, and Wal-Mart…

Even bought some ink cartridges from an online store which came up to 8$/ink cartridge instead of paying 9$ or more for refills!

Also jacked up my car insurance, what once was a good 5-10$ savings a month was now more than 9$/month over the local insurer I switched to… House is next. I’ll have to rethink this +120$/year membership card if you’re not going to give me my money’s worth!

    • komodo says:

@Free Finger, why are you paying $120 a year? If you are not getting more than $60 back from the rewards card every year than maybe you should stop complaining about other prices cause you are already wasting your own money.

Don’t blame Costco or even Cineplex for jacking up the prices, blame the movie studios who demand a certain amount of money from each movie ticket sold. The theater needs to make money and most usually do on the food they sell, not the movie ticket.

If food is cheaper at Loblaws then why are you still at costco, leave it already. Obviously prices will be cheaper at Walmart but have you seen the quality of the food? Much better at high end stores than walmart or even nofrills.

Don’t believe that the price increase from Costco is to be blamed on the movie execs. Pricing at the theatre, at least where we are, is still $10 per person for the movie, which is has been for the last few years, when Costco package was $25 for 2 people. So, we just buy the movie pass now, and bring our own snacks in, it pays to have a wife who carries a large bag.

  6. Nik says:

They jacked up the price from $25 to $29 – you can find those ‘old’ vouchers at the store… with HST in Ontario it comes to nearly $33. What’s the point of being a Costco member?

    • Manny says:

Your Costco membership allows you to buy cheap gas and offers ridiculous return policy for they take back almost everything (ex: dead bouquets of flowers, half eaten bag of apples, etc., seen it a couple of times).

  7. Jessica says:

It appears that the Costco movie packages are no longer available online. I just noticed this today (February 10, 2017). Not sure if they are still in store but we’re as of a few weeks ago.

  8. Colin Hansen says:

    Do these vouchers expire?

  9. Colin Hansen says:

Referring to the 24.99 vouchers, I bought one, let’s say a year ago, and I want to use it this weekend, it should still be good to use, right?

  10. Buy movie ticker for halloween tonight 10.35
