I will NEVER pay to shop there…we are all really good at this saving money stuff and to me it just seems ridiculous for me to spend $55 to spend my hard earned money in their store.I don’t get why people aren’t outraged about this.No other store “charges” you to walk in the door.I would rather shop somewhere else and get some “perks” for my own pocket.I dunno about anyone else but when I have tagged along with someone who has a membership it doesn’t seem like your money goes very far there.4 items in my cart and $100 later…yikes!

$10 at Costco? Whoop-de-doo. They are horrendously expensive. I think a lot of people who shop there don’t know their grocery store prices but THINK they’re getting a deal. I understand their electronics can be a good deal but other stores sell last year’s model for the same prices as well. Now, having said all that, we do have a membership (like, duh, eh?) and after six years we finally tried their meat which we’d heard good reviews of. Yep. It IS good stuff. Although my preference is to buy local organic but I’m not independently weatlhy.

As much as I love saving money too, I still love shopping at costco for certain things. Mainly, meat and seafood, soap, detergents and toilet paper, etc. And if I can stock up once a month on bulk items with 2 preschoolers in tow, it means I don’t have to go through much more shopping torture for the rest of the month. Which also means using less gas for my car. I would gladly take a trip to costco with the kids than somewhere like Walmart. My sanity is worth something to me.

paying $55.00 to go shopping at a store is somewhat ridiculous, how does one save money that way. This day and age we are all watching our pennies. If there has to be a membership, why can’t it be lower and why can’t they change their policy on the spouse idea. What about the ones that don’t have anybody else living at their residence, what are they do pay the full price, I think not. Since the Costco store is over 2 hrs away and the gas prices are high I did not renew my membership. Maybe if we all get together on this and protest it might make a difference. We can always hope.

I signed up at Costco recently and was there with a friend who I said referred me. We were each given $10 card, so it was a pretty good deal! No coupon or form required.
