It’s a shame that ELF persistently has the policy of “Any out of stock items will be substituted” because this prevents me from wanting to do business with them. I do A LOT of online ordering from many companies and the general policy is that when you try to order an item and it is out of stock, you are immediately alerted to this fact so that you have the option to chose an alternative product.
A lot of people have complained online that they were shipped makeup from ELF that they couldn’t use because ELF substituted whatever without informing them first. Makeup is very personal and should not be substituted without the customers permission.
I would like to see ELF promise to fulfill online orders as accurately as possible before I ever decide order from them.
