Shoppers Drug Mart have teamed up with Beyond The Rack.

  • Get exclusive Optimum items on Beyond The Rack
  • Earn 10 Optimum Points for every $1 spent on Beyond The Rack

You do not need the Shoppers Drug Mart credit card, your regular Optimum card can be added to your Beyond The Rack account.  I have always been wary of Beyond The Rack given posts I have seen on the forums about them, but hopefully this partnership will make them more trustworthy.  Have you shopped on Beyond The Rack?  Did you receive the correct item and quickly?

To introduce this partnership, they are holding a contest.  You can win a Coach bag, Tod’s sunglasses or $150 Beyond The Rack gift card.  Click here to enter.

I’ve purchased a few items from BTR. Most of the time it isn’t worth it unless it’s something you can’t find anywhere else. The only downside for being a bargain site is the shipping takes FOREVER! It takes a few weeks for the item to arrive from the supplier, and then it takes another couple weeks to ship to your door even though they are Canadian. So expect your item in at least 6 weeks!

It’s never taken 6 weeks for me to get my order, usually about 3.

I’ve ordered a few items from BTR before and I find them very poor quality. Most of them look like things you’d see at the liquidation stores…
Also they used to give the store credit instead of refund your money, I don’t know if they still do.

There’s no reason to believe that a points-offering will make BTR any more (or less) reliable or trustworthy that they were before. I work at a company that regularly partners with various retailers or manufacturers (although never with a points program), and our operations are 100% separate from their’s.

@bea, I would hope/think that SDM would not want to be associated with the massive amount of complaints BTR used to have and since the number of complaints on here have also dwindled (either less people ordering or just less issues?) that they have come a long way from what they were

I’ve received items super quickly, and then it took almost 3 months to receive a pair of boots…and they sent the wrong colour (right boots, right size, grey instead of black).

I’ve ordered a few things from BTR and have mixed reviews. The quality is fine if you stick with brand name stuff but if you buy the cheap stuff it really is cheap quality. I’ve found that shipping at best usually takes about 3 weeks but I’ve waited up to 4 months for items more than once and when I’ve talked to BTR reps about it they’ve always just said it was delayed from the initial supplier. I’ve had much better luck buying from hautelook, I almost always get my stuff within two weeks; it’s a bit pricier because you have to pay duty but you can still get great deals if you’re looking for brand name stuff.

Pictures can be deceiving….cheap stuff can look great but I too stick with the brand name stuff to avoid the hassle of returning etc…..I’ve been a customer of BTR since its inception and it has improved but not to the calibre of other on-line sites I buy from i.e. Hautelook, Gilt.com, myhabit et al but you have to also remember the U.S. sites have incredible access to designers that you will never see on BTR.

I’ve ordered from Beyond the Rack numerous times before. You can say that I’m a self-proclaimed “ambassador” of their store. Shipping has always taken about a week for me. I just made an order 3 weeks ago and it literally took 3 business days to get to me! Quality-wise, I’ve never had a problem with them since I’ve only ordered designer items. Most of the time, I think their deals are great!
