Canada’s Parks Day 2012 will take place on Saturday, July 21. Mark your calendar now and check the events page for activities in a park near you.
Canada’s Parks Day is an annual event where thousands of people participate in fun, educational, family-oriented events in parks and Historic Sites across the country. Many activities highlighted the important role that parks play in maintaining healthy and resilient ecosystems, protecting critical habitat for species-at-risk and contributing to human health and well-being.
Great way to spend a summer day with the family!
Wonder if it’s the same deal for Provincial parks.
Parks Canada will not be offering free admission to national parks or national historic sites on Parks Day.
I work for Parks Canada, and I double checked this with the person responsible for fees for the country. There will not be free admission that day.
Could this post be removed so that it doesn’t mislead people and cause some people to be disappointed?
I agree with Julie. Remove the post – I already started planning that day and found the info from Julie…I am disapointed already:-(((
like eric… is it for provincial parks?
this really stinks. Not a big fan of these federal cutbacks!
