@cineplexmovies

Just a reminder that free or buy 1 get 1 free movie tickets for Cineplex Theatres are still available through specially marked General Mills products.

I’ve been noticing a lot of these marked boxes at the grocery store and I was reminded about the deal through a commercial I saw while I was at the movies last night!

MattS2 did a very detailed post about this deal about a month ago, so click here to check that out!

Okay – so can someone confirm this? The boxes of cereal with the FREE General admission are only available until Feb. 29/12 but we have until May to redeem them? Is that correct? Thanks!

  4. MattS2 says:

  5. supermommy says:

    vibrantflame,
the offer changes each month. So if you want a free movie, it’s February. If you want b1g1, or a free snack, different month…
I am highly disappointed this year. There is not ONE new kids movie that we can go to as a family, thus we can’t use the tickets as freebies without a babysitter. Awesome deal for couples who want to go to a Sunday night movie, or whatever though.

  7. b4ucuhear says:

OK. I’ve used these in the past and thought they were great, but I’ve been looking since the beginning of February – I even printed out the detailed description on what and when from the website. But… I can’t find one store that carries them in the east end of Toronto here. I’ve been to several No Frills and 2 Loblaws. They all carry the General Mills cereals that are part of the deal, but none of the specially marked boxes for movies. It seems they just want to hang on to old inventory until it’s cleared out, but by that time, some/all versions of the deal will be over. What gives?

  8. Emma says:

I actually like the small changes this year. Last year you can only redeem free movie from Sunday 5pm to Friday 5pm. This year is Sunday to Thursday. am making Sunday a movie day (make it double if I have enough cereal box, lol)
And there are movies I wanted to watch like the woman in black, the grey, chronicles … unlike last year, nothing worth to watch.

  9. Pauline says:

Hubby and I saw Safe House yesterday afternoon, free, using this offer.
    Great deal!

  10. Lacey says:

Does this include Empire Theaters in NS?

  11. TallNFunny says:

@Emma: Did you mistype? How is Sunday to Friday better than Sunday to Thursday?

  12. TallNFunny says:

@Emma: I mean the other way around 😛

  13. john says:

I cant figure this out it wont let me put in my code

  14. J says:

For Feb it’s free admission, other months till May is buy 1 get 1. I don’t like the change they made this year, you have to select a movie and time in advanced online, and then print out the ticket to redeem. I don’t like how you loose the flexibility of seeing a movie when you feel like it.

  15. Gloria says:

I purchased several boxes of General Mills Cereal and had no trouble
using the first code for a free movie. However, I cannot redeem the rest
of the boxes with codes. The offer is valid until May 31, 2012. Is there
a reason I cannot redeem other codes?

  16. Hobart says:

We thoroughly enjoyed going to see the free movies. However found a few
hiccups along the way. We did not like the experience of using the computer to obtain the movie tickets. It was quite frustrating at times. We were also asked for an additional security code before obtaining tickets. Prefer last year’s
experience with the coupon on the box. Much simpler. We also wondered what happens to those that do not have a computer and or printer.
