Free Long Distance Calls in Canada @ ZeroCents.ca

FREE Long Distance Calls Canada

Thanks saveoneverything for suggesting this free long distance offer in Canada 😀

You can make free long distance calls from many major Canadian cities. I have never personally tried this service but I read lots of good reviews about it. They never charge you anything extra and there are no hidden costs. Apparently what they do is play an ad before your call. I read that sometimes you’ll get a busy signal in which case you simply need to try again later.

Here are the access numbers:

  • Calgary 403-450-3474
  • Gueph 519-341-6093
  • Halifax 902-482-9710
  • Kingston 613-344-1392
  • Niagara Falls 289-932-2220
  • Oshawa 289-634-1100
  • Ottawa 613-688-3733
  • Peterbourough 705-536-0659
  • St. Catherines 289-438-2220
  • Toronto 416-644-3733
  • Victoria 250-412-8092
  • Windsor 226-946-1946

Try it out and let us know if it works 😉

Tried the access number for Guelph. The Bell recording said that the number was not assigned.

  2. Heather says:

The Halifax number isn’t in service – I’m thinking this isn’t real but not sure why someone would go to the effort of making this site….

  3. Zoe says:

The Toronto number works, but then I got busy signals after they tried connecting my call. These are numbers where no one is currently home.

  4. mimionthebeach says:

Pretty short lists of where you can call to for free …

  5. Lillian says:

It works for me. I use it for all my long distance calls.

    thanks

  6. Infomut says:

I got all excited, and dialed the Toronto access line. Got busy signals for all the people I dialed. I checked out the website and found out you can only call to certain places and I don’t know anyone who lives in any of the locations :Sob:
Hey anyone out there like to hear from me who is on the call list? Let’s talk!

  7. Chi of Steel says:

I’ve used the Toronto number for several months now for no problems. I’m only calling from neighbouring towns across York Region (ie 905 to 905), which should not be, but is, long-distance. But I digress.

  8. Joanie says:

I have been using this service for a couple of years now (the Toronto line). Occassionally I get a busy signal or it doesn’t go through but I just hang up and try again. You just have to listen to the ads at the beginning of the call. When my long-distance friends call I just tell them to hang up and I will call them back. I call Mississauga and Schomberg (from Bolton)using the 416-644-3733 which is also 416-644-FREE.

  9. ed says:

The Kingston access number is “not in use”.

  10. Andy J says:

This is just like the old Toronto Star line, and Labatt’s Blueline from a few years ago.

It’s not true long distance anywhere in the conuntry or province. It just acts as a hub that connects counties or towns together though a common denominatoring phone number.

  11. szh says:

Tried the Toronto access number to call mom in Montreal. Worked like a charm on the first try. Thanks!

  12. luv2shop&save says:

@szh – Wondering how that worked, as the website doesn’t list Montreal as one of the places that you can call from Toronto. As others pointed out, it is only for neighbouring communities (that happen to be long distance even though they are not far away).

  13. Jen says:

just tried to call my Mum who lives in Vancouver, from the Toronto number and it worked! go figure. just be sure not to add the 1 before the area code when putting the number in that you are trying to reach. sorry if I’m stating the obvious but I wasn’t sure myself since their website is non descriptive.

  14. Khristopher says:

Sweet! I can call my friend in Calgary now.

  15. szh says:

@luv2shop&save: At the top of their website, they list the cities where access numbers are available, i.e. cities you can call from. At the bottom, they list all the cities you can call to (Montreal is listed). Click on a city and it’ll list all the sub-areas where you can call to for free.

  16. Manish says:

Been using this now for the last 4 to 5 years
    Toronto #

    Works like a charm!

  17. ergo2 says:

seems a bit dodgy to me. Guelph number did not work 🙁

  18. angie says:

A bit of “false” advertising. Not really a free “long distance” provider (see Andy J. comments). Also agree with previous comment (ergo2). I am always a bit cautious when something is “free” and there is no verifiable customer support/contact information.

  19. windsfinest says:

Windsor Worked – No Ads, just to the point and not one hitch. I havn’t recieved my bill yet, but i’d dispute it because I took the advice of Jen when she said: just be sure not to add the 1 before the area code when putting the number in that you are trying to reach”.

  20. nonlinear says:

calgary number is not in service.

  21. Bradforddarlene says:

I have used this kind of service before for year but this one doesnt seem to be good at least for the Toronto number. The cities and towns they have listed for free calling from Toronto are mostly local calls anyways.
Looks like a big list but isnt really

  22. d JOLY says:

I have been using this service for many many years…It’s great!!!
o.k. you don’t reach everywhere, but anything we can saved is FANTASTIC…
Stop complaining, accept any Free charge.. if NOT happy look somewhere else..

  23. Joan says:

Is there an access number to call from the London area?

  24. Kerry says:

I’ve been using it, my whole family uses it. They were the ones to tell me. they have been using it for some time now, me only three or four months. The only problem is once in ten calls I might get a busy signal. Small price to pay.
Tell only the people you like……so it doesn’t get real busy.

SAY YES TO FREE LONG DISTANCE…..THANKS TECHNOLOGY

  25. Glen says:

Hah…so people I don’t like don’t deserve free long distance?!!!!

  26. Kar says:

I use it all the time to call from Toronto to Hamilton. Works great! Everyone now and then, i get a busy signal, but i just hang up and try again. Always works by the 2nd time. This is saving me hundreds of dollars. I love it!

  27. Megan says:

anyone know what the number for hamilton is on zerocents.ca i cant seem to view that website to find out the number to call from hamilton to ottawa

  28. Sally says:

Do you get charged if you call someone that isn’t in the list of places you can call?

  29. urouj862 says:

how can they not have a access number for Edmonton!???!???!?

  30. mon says:

    Works great from Ottawa
    Thanks

  31. Mary says:

Why isn’t Edmonton on the list?

  32. Don says:

Just travelled to Calgary from Toronto, but the number seems to be not in service. Went to their web site, and it is done.

  33. Bridges_48 says:

Works perfectly fine to me, as long as you have friends in the cities that are on the list you’ll be fine.

  34. Marianne says:

Works great from Toronto. Do not dial the 1 in front(just area code and phone #)or else it’ll be a busy signal.

  35. tony says:

The free phone in Toronto call in Canada not free anymore, now we have to pay . i had try couple of times.

  36. mvirk says:

yeah im from ottawa and used it last few days and now it says its finished and we have to pay! haha i neeed a new number lmao

  37. Riaz says:

Used to call through 416-6443733 in Toronto. It is no more working. Anyone knows a new free long distance number! Thanks.

  38. Dysmenorrhea says:

Works perfectly fine to me, as long as you have friends in the cities that are on the list you’ll be fine.
I use it all the time to call from Toronto to Hamilton. Works great! Everyone now and then, i get a busy signal, but i just hang up and try again. Always works by the 2nd time. This is saving me hundreds of dollars. I love it!

  39. Dave says:

They gave out the free calling and then took it away just like everyone else does. Now they want you to pay. Hmmm……Sounds like a bait and switch……I wouldn’t go with their service even if it is the least expensive. The free calling was just to get thousands of people interested in their company.

  40. Doug says:

We use it from Ottawa all the time and works well with the odd exception. Not sure what mvirk means by no longer available from here because I used it this morning to call my son in the Toronto area and got through no problem.

  41. cami says:

i have tried the service, actually i use them all the time. i have always gotten thru, saves a lot of money!!!!!

  42. Hanna says:

I use 416 number and it works every time. Don’t dial 1 before the long distance number. Maybe this is why some people get busy signal. I can call now my daughter in Cambridge for free !!!

  43. gina says:

There isn’t even a listing or any sort of write up on the website disussing the free long distance calling with the numbers listed above.

  44. Jay says:

I tried calling Toronto # using my cel, I kept getting busy signal but when i use my home line it connects me to live agent???? Can anyone help me??? or this # is not working any more

  45. Jewels says:

This zerocents.ca number no longer works for free as of today Sept 20, 2009. Tried calling Woodbridge from Richmond Hill this morning and there was a message saying it now costs $3.95 / mos for the service.

Anyone know of any other service that allows calls within the GTA (e.g. 905 to 905) to be free?

  46. litho says:

calling from Ottawa… It works nice. Thank U guys.

  47. Courtney says:

i used 688 FREE long before i read this. and i f-ing love it lol. i use it all the time

  48. Gurbax Jones says:

Jewel is right – Dialing 416-644-3733 no longer works for free long distance. I’m currently searching for an alternate, too …

  49. Immie says:

You want a reliable service, you should try telfund intl. It’s not FREE but very low. 416 calling a 613 number cost as little as .019 cents.

But there is a way to get FREE CALLS. You just refer a few friends to the service and when they load their account and make long distance calls, your account will instantly get credited with 10% which you can use to make your calls.

Right now, they are giving away $1.00 US to try the service. Make sure you follow the instruction when you call your destination.

  50. Rajesh says:

    Hi there,

Please send me the phone number (Edmonton) to be used as Free long distance calling facility.

    Thanks

    Rajesh

  51. Jewels says:

This is no longer available, it ended recently (Sept 2009) so calling the 416-644-3733 will no longer work.

I am assuming this is the case for all their access numbers.

They charge a $3.95 / month fee now.

  52. Diana says:

Windsor doesn’t work anymore. Any suggestions?

  53. Hal Ade says:

The FREE calls only last for a certain period of time, or a certain number of calls, of which they don’t inform you in advance. I apparently have used up my FREE allotment, because they now want to charge me $3.95/month. But what are they terms and conditions for that $3.95? What limits are there? Do I have to keep dialing into the “FREE” company’s system to get my possibly “unlimited-length” calls? Etc., etc…

  54. Name (required) says:

    Caca tastes better than pussy.

  55. shae says:

apparently this # is no longer a free service it once was but now you have to subscribe oh well I guess I missed it!

  56. crawford says:

My cell phone is a toronto number, but im wondering if i could use the Toronto Access number to call a Toronto number from my cell phone. Can i ?

  57. Nad says:

Just tried it, now there is a charge (for toronto access number). Agent will sign you up. About $13.00 a month I think?

  58. happymommy says:

i tried the toronto number and i was told that i would have to pay money it is not free

  59. Dusty Trails says:

    Same for ottawa. $3.95 monthly.

  60. Mike says:
