I wouldn’t go watch his show even if he paid me 10 bucks. And took me out for Bonanza afterwards.
Insightful criticism…..
I’m with James! You couldn’t pay me to watch the show again on TV let alone go see it in all it’s live glory. LOL
Anyone care to say WHY they’re so against the show? Or is it just an irrational hatred?
I was wondering the same fish…
whatever did george do :S? I thought his programing was better than most on tv…no?
George stroubopolys’s show is so profound because he dresses cool and his show’s presentation is so laid back and he ‘tells it like it is’.*
*Not. I think he’s a fake sycophant. He caters and sucks up to ‘stars’ that appear on his show. Let’s hear him place some blame, get angry, and lose his political correctness.
He definately is one of the better MuchMusic veejay graduates..he could be doing Entertainment Tonight Canada..

So…like Jerry Springer? But with real issues? Or perhaps Dr. Phil with broader issues?
That could be a way to go, but personally I think that the show’s actually pretty good. When the guests are relaxed, they tend to become more open and give up more information than they would if they were verbally accosted.
I don’t think the show is meant to be one that stirs up controversy, it’s meant to show you how people think. It gives you a chance to get inside someone’s head for an hour. You may not like the points of view of the guests, but if you listen to them you can understand how they think. That can lead you to a) changing your mind, b) understanding their point of view or c) using the way they think to formulate an argument against them.
I’m glad it’s not like US talk shows 🙂
Personally i agree with Fish
George seems to actually take interest in what the stars have to say. And I find it quite pathetic that all we seem to be interested in is
drama and scandals. What ever happened to finding out what the artist/actor/politicians have to say, and to see where they are coming from.
And George is amazing himself. He is so down to earth. I went to one
of his tapings recently and I actually enjoyed myself. George decided to stay after the show to answer questions, no security, no cameras, just one-to-audience. He seems to genuinely care about his fans, while remaining humble. For example, my friend and I asked him for a picture after the taping and not only did he take a picture with us, he started to have a conversation with us and took a genuine interest in what we had to say, despite the fact that there were a ton of people waiting to talk to him behind us and he was done for the day.
What i like most about his shows is that its the only show on tv which isn’t mainstream. He’s not getting paid to sells stuff to you or convince you of something. This is probably why most of you are bashing him. Many of you are product of media and would like to be told that the world is okie-dookie and although bad things happen its ok you can just buy more things to fuel the economy and all will be well.
Anyways i’m off topic. Thats pretty much all i have to say.
A lot of people have unfounded anger towards random celebrities. It happens. I’ve personally never seen the show, but I also don’t really plan on it. Doesn’t seem interesting to me.
WE don’t watch that pompous ass George. So stop giving him free publicity here.
Hey i would just like to say i would love to go and see his show in toronto and also love to see him in actions as to say, interviewing some high celebrities and about the above comments made about his show and himself they can all go to h-e-l-l and thank you and good night love ya george you’ll always be my boyfriend at 11
