Just so you guys know, Dyson Vacuums void all carpet warranties. We have one and love it, but its good to know.

Wow great deal. I have both the full size pet one and handheld and they are great, my house has never been so clean:). The only negative thing is the handheld only holds a 6 minute charge.
Dyson rocks! I’ve had one for 4 years and it still “sucks” like there is no tomorrow! (In a good way! :-)). Doesn’t even compare to many many canister vacuums I’ve ever had. I really doubt the carpet warranty voiding issue, never heard of it before…I almost wish I needed another one – for this price! (and for the toy vacuum), but I don’t! 🙂
We bought a Dyson off of ebay and I could not BELIEVE how much cat fur the thing sucked up when we first vacuumed with it. I thought we had a clean house – but the Dyson proved me wrong. Our carpets look like they are brand new again. There is NO WAY a canister vacuum (and I had a $400 deluxe one before the Dyson), can EVER compare to a Dyson. They are WORTH the money hands down.
I wonder if the dyson is an obsolete model. it isn’t listed on the dyson site, not even in the refurbished section.

I’m going to assume its a future shop model. So many items are just made for certain stores.
We had a Dyson DC01 when we lived in the UK. It was *great* until it broke then, even though they were very small repairs, it was £50.00 (about $100) every time. After 3 repairs we bought a Bissell.
Strike that, I had no problem finding it at tons of other stores. Search the name and model in google. CT sold it as well. So while there is a newer model (of course) Its not obselete, can’t beat the 5 year warranty.

I just spoke to one of representivities. She said you can go ahead to purchase dyson with the full price and they will adjust the price for you later, since there are some issues with their database. They are still working on it to fix the website problem.
they said problem should be fixed in 30 to 60 mins.

Customer Support said that FS is aware of the problem and will resolve “hopefully” sometime tonight. YOu can either wait, or order the unti at $499 and call Customer Support later after you recieve order number and they will credit your VISA within 7-10 days. Cookies, reboot, etc won’t work.
hmmn seems to be hit and miss. My friend just ordered a ton of stuff and it took us since 8pm-8 30 to get the prices to show up right.. very Annoying.

Tried for last hour and half called costumer service… Sold out will not be available for three days. If by chance you get one between sale times get it they will adjust the price when you call them. She said it will be a miracle if anyone does.. I really wanted one 🙁
That’s 3.5 hour’s of my life I’ll never get back! This has been so frustrating! Called customer service 2x & was told that the system would be fixed by 11:30pm. Now it looks as though they are all sold out. I can’t understand what happened? I was on the site at 8pm Grrrr!!

tami, Trust me on the carpet warranty issue with the dysons, I am in the Carpet Industry. The problem is that the dyson is too powerful and can actually tear the backing off the carpet. Remember I said have a dyson, and I love it, I just think buyers should be aware.
No luck with the dyson…tried to buy one for 45 mins. Site kept crashing and it would not let me pick a store for pick up. So frustrating!
Future Shop’s site is such a piece o’ crap. I can’t believe what horrible service we received from the customer service reps when we called to find out what was happening with the price of the Dyson vacuums.
