The phone is tied to the Bell Network, however, it is fairly easily unlocked. Simply remove the SIM Card and reboot the phone. Then enter #*7337#. Press the send key twice and you are done.
In the description for the phone it says 2G, but it is actually 3G.

This makes the phone a brick to certain providers that will not let you on their network without your phones IMEI intact. I’m still trying to find a way to restore it…
Hi – I purchased the phone yesterday, I took out the SIM and replaced it with a Nokia (Rogers) SIM. I tried the code on the Samsung, it didn’t take, I tried a few more times and now I have the ‘phone freeze’ message. I contacted Bell and Rogers they were unable to help – anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
The code does wipe out the IMEI number in memory but once I took the Bell sim out and replaced with a Roger’s sim, it worked fine. Any idea which carriers you would have trouble with?
I looked for hours for an unlock code for this phone! My Ace 2 just broke, and had no money for a new phone so i had to use my fido sim for this S275, but couldnt find an unlock code…until i found this webside! thank you so much for the unlock code. I bought this phone new and it cost me like $100 bucks, but hated Bell so much i stopped using it. Sure am glad i held onto it though, thanks a bunch guys
