Galaxy Cinemas is having a night of Free Movies. It seems to be in a few locations across Canada but I haven’t been able to find out if it’s all of the theatres yet. So far Regina and Brantford are having this event. Now on to the details:
The movies being shown are:
9:00 am Iron Man 2
9:10 am The Karate Kid
9:20 am Shrek Forever After (3D)
9:30 am How to Train Your Dragon
9:40 am Marmaduk
In addition there will be regular popcorn and fountain drinks for only $2! This event is to benefit the Starlight Children’s Foundation and will take place on October 23, 2010. Expect line ups!

Here’s the link that shows participating theaters and dates. I couldn’t find the exact list of movies for each theater, but you can always contact them directly to find out.
Hope that helps all you lucky people who can go. My theater in Pitt Meadows BC isn’t participating this year!

I just went on search engine — typed in ‘galaxy cinemas free movie night’. Here in Saskatoon was held Oct. 16th and was a free movie morning. Same movies playing. Still in benefit of the Starlight Foundation. Wish I would have known.
For a Free MOVIE NIGHT, why are the movies advertised in the A.M. I thought a.m. mean morning and P.M., was night time. Guess someone goofed.
so it will not be the full day ? only one at 9 in the morning ?
Galaxy in Guelph had it this past weekend (Sat, Oct 16) and it was great. They had How to Train Your Dragon in 3D and the theatre wasn’t full – start time was 9:20 and you could have arrived at 9:19 and still had very good seats. Not sure how full the other shows were.

I got my details from my mom’s Personal Support Worker who had the ad cut out from our Brantford Expositor newspaper. The scan didn’t turn out so I just copied it word for word what was in there.
To clarify, yes the movies are IN THE MORNING!!!! That means you will have to drag your butt up in the morning if you want to do it! I didn’t make the name of the promotion! I just posted it and it got blogged!

As someone else said, just call your local theatre and inquire about it!
To Smilebee: All movies are in the morning… they have to do that because all of them have to be over before the regular matinees start for the main attractions! But to see Shrek in 3D for free? NICE! I just hope they don’t charge the $3 fee for 3D (and not post that in the ad???) I will be raising cane if they do that!
