Canadian CRT class action announced that courts in Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec have approved class-action lawsuit settlements totalling $49.8 million. Everyone in Canada can claim this (even without a purchase receipt)!
Persons resident in Canada (individuals, businesses and governmental entities) can receive a payment from the settlements if they purchased any of the following products, regardless of the manufacturer or brand, in Canada between March 1, 1995 and November 25, 2007:
- CRT televisions
- CRT computer monitors
- CRTs for inclusion in televisions or computer monitors
Payments will be distributed on a proportional basis, based on the value of your claim relative to the value of all approved claims. It is anticipated that all claims will receive a minimum payment of $20.
You must complete and file a claim form by March 1, 2019.

am I the only one having a problem in inserting my email address? It keeps changing the @ to ” & therefore, will not accept my email address so I cannot go any further. : /
Have not tried to apply yet. Just remembered a tv purchase in 1997 that would qualify for this claim.
I just went back & the “@” glitch was fixed & I was able to send my information! 🙂
I submitted my claim since i did have a RCA CRT TV and also an older PC Moniter
I as well am having problems filling this out, it will not accept my Email it says that it is not valid. I use that very same email daily for many things with no issues, so I do not know what the problem is. I see there is no phone number to call somebody about any problems. I set my girlfriend up to do this and of course she had no issues and it worked for her. Grrrr am so frustrated! Any one have any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
