Similar to Spotify and Apple Music, Google Play Music is a fabulous music streaming site that provides you with commercial free access to thousands of artists music. Usually, this service would cost you $9.99/month, but right now Google Play is providing us Canucks with a special offer where you can grab four months of Google Play for FREE.
Like I said, the usual cost of this service is $9.99/month, which means that if you unsubscribe from the service before your four months renew, you could receive this service for absolutely nothing, though it would normally have cost you $39.96.
You will have to provide your credit card to claim this offer, but you won’t be charged for a new month until the end of the offer. So if you’re sure to unsubscribe at the very end, you won’t need to worry about any unwarranted charges (to plan ahead against getting charged for offers like these, I usually set a reminder in my Google calendar so that I don’t forget to unsubscribe before the charging date).

Just a warning, if you want to unsubscribe when the free trial is up make sure you get a confirmation email. When I tried unsubscribing the first time it loaded a confirmation page but I did not get an email and a week later my credit card got charged. Not sure if it was intentional or the site glitched but definitely a bummer to get charged $10 unsuspectingly.
Hi Katherine 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!
If you’re worried about forgetting, you can always unsubscribe right after you sign up. You will still have the 4 month trial on your account, but without the worry of having charges later 🙂 I did this the last time they offered 4 month trials, and can confirm that it works.
Awesome tip, starri.kari! Thank you for sharing it with us 🙂
