HBC credit card is offering paperless billing. They will give you $5 if you sign up. This isn’t really a hot deal but if you were planning on making the switch you might as well do so now. The paperless billing is through Canada E Post. I’ve never used this service but I’ve heard good things about it. Click here for more information and to sign up.
This is a great idea – epost can be set up to send you your bills, remind you about upcoming payments, and, if you’re interested in doing so, will let you (but not force you) to pay from their site. I get every bill I can there – it gives you all the detail, will file them for up to seven years, and has dramatically reduced the clutter in my house (more room for my stockpiles, LOL!).
A $5 bonus is gravy, I would have done it for free! Woohoo!
screamy…is it HBC who will give you 5.00 bonus?
And if so…how? On your statement?
Thanks!

Oh poo… I’ve signed up for paperless billing long ago.
Altamom, I’m not sure – I would expect HBC would credit you $5 on your bill.
Altamom, fine print says * Sign up for online statements with epost by December 31, 2010, and receive 2 consecutive epost statements,
and within 8-10 weeks a $5 statement credit will be posted to your HBC MasterCard or HBC Credit Card account.
So $5 will show up somewhere in February/March
I tried this awhile ago and ended up paying interest charges because the bill was not received. After 8 months and 3 missed bills I cancelled it.
good way of saving trees
