The Canadian Food Inspection Agency in Ottawa is recalling Heinz Apple Broccoli, Pea and Brown Rice Mott’s Fruitsations Fruit Rockets due to potential spoilage in the product. The loss of seal in the Heinz Fruit Rockets have been causing spoilage while on shelves.
This Heinz Canada Apple Broccoli, Pea and Brown Rice Mott’s Fruitsations Fruit Rocketsrecall has been placed to prevent food poisoning which can be caused by contaminated food. Eating contaminated food by bacteria or viruses can cause a person to become sick which is why a product should be immediately taken off the shelves if it becomes a threat to the health of others.
Health Canada advices anyone who may already have the Fruitsation Fruit Rockets in their homes to do the following:
- Throw out product immediately or return back to store where it was purchased
- If a young child has already been fed the product, discontinue immediately and monitor child for symptoms (symptoms can include upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea to name a few)

Ate Mott’s Fruitsations Fruit Rockets last week! They were giving them free at Metro with the purchase of the regular Fruitsations. NOW they tell me a week later that I have to return them for safety!?
Food companies need to do a much better job. It seems like there is a food recall on baby food once a month. I make most of my little ones food but occasionally use the store premade stuff and it worries me and it shouldn’t. Children’s food should be of a standard to never need a recall.
